pMSNBC reported a few minutes ago that "sources" say there may be an increased US threat alert soon due to some Muslim holy day and possible war with Iraq.

This alert went "online" the moment Bush gave his speech.
Curious...

Thanks. Let's roll. And, as for domestic terrorism, citizens are one of the frontlines of defense. We should all be on the alert.

I'm off to hear Notra Trulock discuss his great new book, Kindred Spirits, at Olsonn's books in DC tonight. It's great living in DC -- you can go and hear these things. That's what I normally think. But then I see something like this and I think, "Maybe it's not so great living in DC."

The best way to ensure peace is to kill the enemy.

Attacks on places of worship and schools, and the murders of private American citizens and other westerners, demonstrate that as security is increased at official U.S. facilities, terrorists and their sympathizers will seek softer targets.

Course all this could cease post haste if we sent the muslims already here packing and refused to all any more in til they learn to behave as humans. Nevermind that though... since it ain't gonna happen til "we the people" of these United States have actually had enough of sitting around watching our children, our parents, and our grandparents being slaughtered. And when that realization arrives, and from this report it may come soon, billions of Muslims are toast. Til then, be prepared to sacrifice like this report threatens.

Meantime, my suggestion is that we tell our Congress and our President enough is enough. Send the bastards packing. And do it now!

So it's due to British colonialism you say? Okay. How bout in my lifetime our own involvement exerting force since WWII?

Agents/forces/troops/battles or near battles in Cuba , Colombia, El Salvador , Grenada ,Haiti,Iraq, Korea Kosova, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Panama, Somalia, Vietnam, Yugoslavia...just to name some of our own self placed involvements in just my lifetime as a "baby boomer."

Time to reflect? I think so.

Thanks Timesink for posting this. I seem to find that most people are treating this as if its a joke. We need to remain vigilant and aware of what is going on around us. We are no longer invunerable to attack as shown on 09/11/01.

It looks as if most Americans are going back to the old way of thinking and not even the Sniper attacks were enough to keep them on their toes.

It is no longer a "it can't happen here" life anymore, cause it can and will and the worst part is that we seem to have dropped our guard ...

again.
