Did anyone hear Ted Danson's nasty remark about Republicans on Sunday's episode of Becker?
Posted on 02/06/2003 7:02:12 AM PST by OldBlondBabe
I called my dad today to wish him a happy birthday. During our conversation he told me he had added Ted Danson to his list of "a$$h*les" along with Clooney, etc. Apparently Danson's character on Sunday's episode of "Becker" made a nasty remark about Republicans which really ticked him (Dad) off. He wondered if I had read or heard anything.
Anyone...?

Someone made a post here the other day about that.
Danson gave a kid some condoms and the kid said why bother because there are various drugs to keep him going if he catches anything.
So Danson says something like the only people that stupid are Republications.
That may not be 100% accurate, just from my memory of what I read the other day.

Ted Danson is still on TV? Becker? Gads. I watch almost no network television anymore. Sounds like I'm not missing a thing.

Danson's been on the a$$hole list for a long time. What happened during Cheers! that turned the cast into a bunch of whiny liberals. Oh, that's right, Hollywierd success.
Becker, Danson's politics notwithstanding, is unwatchable so I can't help you there.

I don't even get the networks on my satellite system. In fact, my television hasn't been turned on in a week or so.
I guess I've had my fill of Hollywood for a while.
To: mamalujo
Exactly. And now that it's on Sundays, hardly anyone watches it anyway. Before it was just leeching off "Everybody Loves Raymond".
To: Lorenb420
Yeah, Boortz was talking about this. Apparently the character stated "republicans and other lower primates."

I confess. I was working and watching BECKER and heard the remark. He also picked up a newspaper and mentioned a peace march and said something about his car being in the picture. Just another Clinton type making money pushing liberal causes. The digs at Republicans are being inserted in other programs as well. Judging Amy had a line from Tyne Daley recently which was apparently intended as a put down. These people long for the Clinton days when they felt relevant, and maybe were considering the constant attention given to them by the Clintons.

The more obvious question is why anyone would watch a Ted Danson show. He is one of the most un-talented actors on television.

Ditto and Ditto!
We can't stand to watch network TV any more. Fox NEWS (DirecTV) is where our channel stays most of the time now but we even turn that off on occasion...just too much info sometimes.

the kid was saying that it didn't matter about aids, because there was a "cocktail or something" that would keep it in check.
Danson replied "You have reache a level of stupidity known only to Republicans and other lower life forms."

Don't you guys realize that these actors are the same pussies who took Drama in high school? You didn't care what they thought then, so don't worry about it now...
