One of the organizers of the Moscow theater siege in October 2002, Isa Dzhantayev, was killed in Chechnya on Tuesday night. The operation was carried out by the Russian Defense Ministry?s elite troops, Colonel Nikolai Baranov, a spokesman for the Russian troops in North Caucasus, told RBC. He said Isa Dzhantayev had been an active member of illegal armed units and a close aide of Chechen commander Movsar Barayev, who oversaw the hostage taking operation in the Moscow theater on October 23, 2002. Movsar Barayev and about 40 other terrorists were killed during the storm of the building by Russian troops on October 26.
According to law enforcement agencies, Isa Dzhantayev committed many bloody crimes against Chechen civilians, including terrorist acts, kidnapping and slave trading.

Sounds as though another complaint from Human Rights Watch and Vanessa Redgrave will soon flood the media.

Good. I hope it was slow, painful, and informative.
I wonder if anyone ever advised these Islamokazes that it may not be a good idea to PO the US and the Russians at the same time?

Wonder if they would undertake to solve our problem with Sean Penn, Daschle, and the rest the members of "Traitors-R-Us."

I certainly hope that he was captured several days before he was killed. I understand that Russian interrogators are not squeamish nor have the slightly degree of compassion.
The world has been made a better place but there is still room for further improvement.

Wait a minute?? Why didn't the Russians seek approval from the UN first??? They should have sent in UN inspectors to confirm it was really Dzhantayev. </sarcasm>
