Thanx for the post. My youngest brother is in the final semester of his quest for a P.H.D at WSU.

We get them all the time here in NYC. You can't imagine how people here still work thru fire alarms, bomb threats, etc. We all just sit at our cubies and wait for the all safe on the loud speakers. Just can't do anything but wait. Hopefully they can catch the moron who made the threat!

That's great! My oncologist is a graduate of WSU, I don't hold it against him however. I hope we can keep HillaryCare defeated so he can make enough dough to pay his enormous student loans.

Actually, he was glad to hear G.W. pledge funds for research, which is where he will spend his career.

Where did you say you were going this afternoon? ;-)

Hopefully he's working on his doctorate in the Veterinary Medicine School at WSU, doing experiments on Huskies.

Quite a few years ago a couple of WSU students were driving around Pullman at night with their homemade bombs when one went off. Can't remember what the out come of it was. I think one guy lost his hand.

did WSU blame this on Rick Neuheisel too?

The perpertrators of such 'pranks' must be punished severely. There's just no room for this kind of thing.

I have been bombed in a dormitory before, but that is different. I'm sure it was all a big misunderstanding. Somebody probably talked about getting "bombed" that afternoon, and...
...not that there's anything wrong with that. They should have been there when *I* was there. Now *those* were the days. The stuff of which legends are told. Good 'ol Wazzu is darn close to a tee-totaling campus compared to the good 'ol days. Back when the drinking age in Idaho was only 19. Moscow, ID was the party capitol of the world, only they didn't sell videos of it like they do for Spring Break nowadays. We didn't go on Spring Break. We needed a *break* from Spring Break. The LAST thing we needed was to go to some foreign country like Mexico.
Reminds me of the Playboy magazine article that was done for "the top 10 party schools" in the country, circa 1982 or so. They listed Florida and Florida State as #1 and #2, and nowhere in the list was WSU.
We were about to be offended, until the last paragraph in the article, which read something to the effect of: "Asute readers may have noticed by their absence that WSU in Pullman, WA and UofI in Moscow, ID are not represented in this list. The editors wish to note that they feel it would be unfair to rank *professionals* with *amateurs*.
Ah, yes... couldn't have put it better myself. :-)

It was a football player that had just received word that he had been promoted to the first string. Instead of getting drunk at the "Cougar Cottage" he and a friend made a pipe bomb and were going to detonate it in a field. He wanted to be a seal. En route, the bomb exploded, killing his friend and taking off his hand.
He was allowed to play in a series during his senior year in a game that meant nothing.
I was at WSU when a nutcase had a bunch of dynamite in a back pack and blew up the floor his ex girlfriend lived in. A couple of WSU cops were injured and he was killed. The cops and housing had already evacuated most of the dorm. I knew a woman that was in the stairwell. She was never the same.
All of it pretty funny stuff, I guess.

I live in the Tri-Cities area so we hear of most of these. Also hasen't there been one or two bomb threats during the Apple Cup or did they just find some pipe bombs?
