The Saturday morning Fox & Friends crew found this funny. I didn't. With a family pet killed and children in this area, what kind of neighbors wouldn't allow the Giffords to trap coyotes?

I didnt realize they had coyotes in Conn. Are they there because some animal-rights Nazis wanted wild animals near urban centers and farms/ranches?
I would tell KLG to get a good shotgun, but, she prolly would get in trouble w the animal fascists for defending her pets and property.
I know KLG isnt the most popular of people, but, it is sad that her kids lost their little pet...and to a wild animal that enjoys more govt protection than the little kids

Probably neighbors who don't want their cats getting trapped, and the Giffords not checking the traps regularly. Trapping of any kind shouldn't be taken lightly -- it's almost impossible to avoid trapping unintended targets.

what kind of neighbors wouldn't allow the Giffords to trap coyotes?Probably the same kind who object when I trap cats. The same kind who throw a fit if a rancher kills a wolf killing his livestock. The world is full of people who want to decree how others should live their lives.

The Saturday morning Fox & Friends crew found this funny. To the disgust of my mother, who emailed them letting them know how disgusted she was at the remark. I didn't hear it so I can't comment directly on it.

Gee, the Peta types. The Siera Club types. The ALF and ELF types. The anti-hunting types. The anti-trapping types. The gun control types. Basically any type that leans left of center and doesn't realize that an over population of these critters is a personal threat to them.
I'm sure that KLG was against trapping or killing of them until she saw a direct threat to her home. When it is just other people's problem, those people shouldn't be allowed to take care of the problem. This was most pronounced when such problems were just in "flyover country" or way out west.

I don't think that anybody really found it funny. However, Kathie Lee has made such a schtick out of her excesses in the past years that anything that happens to her seems out of proportion and like the set-up for a joke. The constant over-excitement over nothing, crying about everything, etc., has belittled truer and stronger emotions.
If only she had kept a little more dignity and privacy about her personal relationships and problems (particularly those with her husband), America would not know so much about her business. Rather than empathizing with her, it has become very easy for America to dislike her. After all, even some very conservative middle-class people have little natural sympathy toward someone who lives on a Greenwich estate with a brood of lap dogs, professional success, money, healthy kids, and unlimited opportunity.
