Well, he does have a point. It's right at the top of his head.

Hungarian bttt - good to have you here.

Here is that DU thread
Some good comments there. They're not inherently evil people, though some of them certainly seem to qualify, based on comments on other threads about how Bush is allegedly going to benefit.
Of course we have a few too. The people whose first reaction was "I bet the Palestinians/Arabs are going to be happy". I'm amazed I kept my responses unbannable.

W/apologies to Rodney Dangerfield, it sounds like this guy really cares. About what, I have no idea.
What does he care about? My first guess would be brown acid.

Well, I spent a lot of time figuring out how to move to a second thread, and then did it, but the thread was pulled with a very nice message.... please try to keep one thread... Duh, ok, but it takes 10 minutes to refresh with a 56K modem...
Maybe there is something I don't understand, since this is the first time I did this...
To: GRRRRR
"Between the USA and Russia, we must care for that crew on station now..." I can't imagine what must be going through their heads right now.

Thanks!

Maybe there is something I don't understand, since this is the first time I did this... Yes, there is...
Set your preferences to just 50 post groups, then the total thread size doesn't matter.
I save them in 50-post groups too; with a 56k modem

Good man.

I heard about the lady from India and her previous space experience on ABC radio. You can't blame Shep for reading something being said elsewhere.
To: Keith in Iowa
OK, guess that I missed that(came into the thread midway).

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the shuttle supposed to circle in the direction of the earth's rotation? And isn't the target landing spot some place in California? But they were reentering over Texas? I think there's something I'm not quite understanding. Target landing in FL.

"The members of DU are utter filth, we know this already" And moreso recently than ever. I used to find them amusing. Now I just find them disgusting.

Duh, ok, but it takes 10 minutes to refresh with a 56K modem... How have you got your "My Preferences" set up? It certainly shouldn't take that long to download 20 or 50 posts.
You can limit the number of posts to 20, 50, 100 or 250 per page. It sounds like you've got the value set too high.

Yes, there is... Whatever...

You're welcome.

Manned space flight is an anachronism. It impedes space exploration and exploitation.
Eventually we're going to want to start settling on other planets, outside the solar system even. Neither the Earth nor the Sun are going to last forever, but humanity can outlast both if we keep space exploration going.
