No No. I'm not saying that the Israli brought a bomb on board. In my opinion, they would be the LAST people who would want this shuttle to crash!

Posting links to DU to expose them is akin to pete checking out those certain sites so he could 'write a book' in the subject.I disagree. Sunlight is an excellent disinfectant.

And besides...ALL I have been ASKING her to do is "Leave me alone".
You're mistaken on this one.

I notice Howlin's opinion differs just a tad from yours.

Why don't you just back off, and leave well enough alone?

Interesting speculation: clearly, this is the area of re-entry that puts the most stress on the orbiter -- literally anything could have happened, despite the obvious emphasis of overcoming the dynamic forces at work there.

That photo of Ramon's wife is eerie. Looks like she had a premonition.

Has NASA not learned their lesson on not launching in cold temps. If what I'm understanding is correct, ice falfrom the external fuel cell damaged some heat shields. Ice and cold temps were responsible for the Challenger. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Ice forms on the fuel cell as a matter of routine; this had nothing to do with launch temperature.

Tony Snow just gave a very beautiful tribute to President Bush and that no matter what his critics say, he is a man that cares very, very deeply about PEOPLE, his fellow citizens. It was lovely and puts the DUers to shame.

*To sum them up in a nutshell, they're trying to find ways to use the tragedy for political advantage.*
While at the same time blaming Bush for his eventual political exploitation of this event (like saying a prayer for the families).
It's not as if Bubba wouldn't have done the same thing. And they would have loved it!
DUh is right.

Ny God, this is horrible.
There are three people on the space station.

Can't say I agree with it either.

God bless our fine heroes. Very sad.

The only way to sabotage that craft would be to burn off ceramic tiles from China with a ground-based laser designed to hit satellites.

>I'll assume that there were some critical tiles missing from liftoff, causing the spacecraft to burn up on reentry.
I would put that at the top of the list of possibilities. Hopefully enough debris will be found to make a determination.
