She needs to get her blood pressure checked. All that anger and hate has to be taking a toll.

Perhaps Roger Hedgecock who was subbing for Rush today has been reading FR. He said he'd like to see the Hollywood stars who are sounding off against Bush volunteer for human shields in Iraq.

So, ya don't mind "sticking it to the wealthy", huh?
When the wealthy pull their companys out of an overtaxed America than I suppose you won't mind losing those jobs?
Overtaxing the rich is no more fair then overtaxing the poor. If taxes were fair across the board then people on either side of the wealth scale wouldn't have so much room to complain.
Most conservatives want what's fair. And it isn't fair to make the wealthy foot the lions share of the bill, no more then it would be to make the poor pay more then their share.

Yes, you are taxed on it twice -- paying federal and state income taxes on your Social Security contributions (if they are not considered a deduction) is paying tax on it once; then you pay tax on it again when you start collecting SS. That's twice.

SS is taken but still counted in the overall income scheme (since you still "own" it afterall is said and done) so SS tax, tax on income (including SS already withdrawn) and then if you make more than 36K (I think) while collecting SS you get taxed on income again...so it's really like 1.5X.

Just because Barbara speaks and tries to connive, manipulate, does not mean she gives a flip about this nation or its citizens. For Streisand it's all about her unredeemed liberal, democratic ways. She should move or shut up.

FYI Babs updated her Jan 30 entry --
thoughts on the speech.
The lies and blather are utterly useless, but the bottom is of some interest. She has humorously posted proof; that being, a Doonesbury cartoon, a Maureen Dowd column, and the official DNC website's URL. Oh, and the esteemed William Rivers Pitt's love letter from Wednesday. He appears to have broken his silence.
I just noticed that her copyright and terms of use statement is still dated 2002. Seems about right.
