On Jan. 18, I joined the hundreds of locals who journeyed down to Washington D.C. for a demonstration against military action in Iraq. ****Like many Americans, I worry about the prospect of war and have doubts about our president's foreign policy and seeming lack of concern for domestic issues. Like many of my peers, I worry about the future of our country if we continue our "business as usual" ways of globalization. After hearing myself complain the past few months, I decided to be proactive, to show up and be part of the count. I encourage everyone to exercise a few rights now and then. ****It appears that many Americans share my views. ****As the crowd took to the streets, I felt a rush of excitement, empowerment. ****Grateful to climb back into a warm bus, I ended the day feeling pumped and exhilarated and proud to be a part of it. *****Hart is features editor at The Ithaca Journal. So much for claiming the "Liberal media" is myth.
Interesting, however, that a newspaper would have an editor admit their activist anti-war, anti-Republican, stance.
I guess they know whe their audience is.
Ithaca is the City of Evil.

Melissa, the Dem/Socialists couldn't survive two-minutes without people of your low intelligence and commonsense.

Yes, participation in the "anti-war" rally run by the Stalanist lovers of murderous dictators DOES make a difference. It identifies who are the intelligent people in American society, who would not touch such a demonstration with a ten-foot pole. And it identifies the fire-breathing, feel-good idiots like Melissa Hart, who is an editor of a "newspaper" that is tolerated by other idiots. I'd say that is slightly useful, in a negative sense.
My column this week on UPI, which will be read by a lot more people than this pathetic screed in Ithica, deals with some of the dogs that poor Melissa is so proud to lie down with. And, of course, it identifies the ideological fleas that she gets up with.
As Mark Twain said, "Idiots are always blowing themselves up with fireworks on the Fourth of July. We now need two Fourths of July, the contry having grown so."

This is exactly the sort of moron that Rush railed against last week when he kept saying that they are making no difference.
