Money well spent. This we can agree. I hope education is included too. Another liberal talking point pulled from under their feet!

Money well spent.

Yeah...you and I worked well and hard for it.

This we can agree.

I don't think so

I hope education is included too.

It won't be, another typical government solution addressing the symtoms instead of the root of the problem. Naturally more African women will be spreading their legs for multiple partners (some with AIDS o'course) and popping out 10-12 babies that will need to be sheltered, clothed and fed and need AIDS meds...all this while the mommy and daddies cant shelter, clothe and feed or get AIDS meds themselves (which means you and I will contribute to MORE money for their kids in the future!). I'm so glad we can count on our compassionate government to share our wealth with the world.

Another liberal talking point pulled from under their feet!

I call it APPEASEMENT...you can call it anything you want to I guess.

No. Money well intended. By the time the $ flow from the US treasury to the UN to Africa, I seriously doubt that 10% will be directly spent on an African AIDS victim.

And why is it the US government's job to provide health care for non-US citizens????

"I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their
constituents." - James Madison (Thanks Gunslingr3!)

Money well spent.

Maybe it is well spent, maybe it isn't. However, Bush shouldn't be able to give our money away like that. We should get an additional tax cut of 15 billion and let us decide what we want to do with our own money, not let the president make that decision for us.

Another liberal talking point pulled from under their feet!

Isn't this the same as saying, "This is something that we agree with the liberals on." Or are you saying we are not sincere aboout the Aids epidemic and are just trying to quiet an issue?

Money well spent.

I disagree. Would you mind covering my share of the $15,000,000,000? Please make out a check to me for about $150 to cover it.

AIDS is one of the most easily prevented diseases on Earth. In fact, a person has to engage in activities that most of us would consider extraordinary to contract it. Sure there are exceptions to this rule, but AIDS is an epidemic for reasons in accordance with this rule, not because of the exceptions to it.

I’m just relieved that Bush didn’t announce that he’s giving an additional $15,000,000,000 to the population of some other continent because they can not control their impulse to hit themselves in the head with hammers. - Concussions everywhere. Oh the humanity!

As to your comment, "Another liberal talking point pulled from under their feet!"

All I can say is, at this rate, we’ll morhp into Liberals after another trillion dollars or so. What a deal.
