Okay, a fair enough line. If you hold that laws are made to better align ourselves with God, you might then see God as a party to the contract of marriage, and not be so cavalier about dispossessing what it might then be your duty to uphold.

It's true, yet if not your own experience that may be to your good. We grant too much wisdom, to mere age under force of such harsh law, and yet we watch Bob Dole slaver over a underage strumpette and celebrate him and her both for it.

There is your assinine behaviour and rank hypocrisy.

LOL. Nice try. Skipping through life with bvw… from Ritter's "fall from grace" to… cop "seductresses" to… playacting to… Elton John to… the institution of marriage. Who are you… Johnnie Cochran?

Maybe you missed my point… I was mocking lawyers who will do or say anything to exonerate their clients… in your case, William Scott Ritter. My relationship with my God and my wife are just fine, thank you.

Now, please take your lawyering and your sanctimonious attitude to the next lucky contestant.

I apologize for presenting in a way that s coming off as sanctimonious. But I've been watching the increasing number of prosecutions and auto-de-fe's over child porn, and doing so while also watching the many other related things of sexual mores, marriage, parenting, and sexual exploitation.

Things do not fit. Carelessly, yet for good intention -- stopping children from being expolited -- thought is made a crime. A man makes a date with a 23 year old. A date at a Burger King, he goes there. No overt sexual activity occurs. He is arrested!

The crime, in total, is all one of thought. Of a presumption of intentions. A presumption of guilt, where otherwise the law presumes innocence.

The public says lay the pyre higher, and burn him the more. A frenzy whipped up by what fancy of the times?

Why are active, genuine, adulterers and homosexuals celebrated, or even a teenie Brittiney plastered all over in the most sexually alluring of poses, and the leading men of the age given to openly lust after such teenie charms, yet ... simple possession of child porn, of a naked teenager's picture is so prosecuted.

We fine and whip the potential imagination far greater than the reality. Disneyland!

A imaginary tryst between dirty old man and nubile teen that sells a Pepsi, that garners a golden award -- that is ok, that is great, that is good, eh? Does being in a commericial make it legal?

Such a commerical, that is NOT child porn? Why not?

In one case the thought of such sex is welcome, in the other it is punished. Thought is a horrible thing to make criminal, for no one is a mind reader. We can only appoximate, only guess, only presume. And presume guilt, to make thought a crime. It becomes a perversion of the law of presumption of innocence.

It is a crazy world we live in. I find Hollywood, and most of its so-called movies ( I call smut), despicable. I find Disney with Eisner in charge, despicable. I even find what the entertainment industry has done to the Super Bowl despicable. I am old enough that I have seen them all, or, I should say parts of all 37. Give me Namath and Boozer and the Jets win over the Colts any day over the extravagandas that are stuck in our faces today. I like the sport… not the hoopla.

But, with regards to Scott Ritter, others' hypocracy and self-indulgence is not applicable. Ritter has made himself out to be truthful… a champion of the principled… the voice of righteousness. He put himself up on that pedestal. Through his own actions, he has abdicated his self-claimed throne.

You can have the last word… but that's the way I see it.

Maybe Scott Ritter and Pee-Wee Herman can team up together!

They already did that...it was called "Dumb & Dumber."

I guess the bank robbers who broke into the vault to find it empty are not guilty of "bank robbery" either because it was only a "thought" they had?

Did the bank shut down that branch while they were spending the long weekend tunneling in from the dry-cleaner next door? Then, sure -- no bank robbery.
