From the "Non Compos Mentis" Files, more peacenik news... Ms. Donna Sheehan, founder of Unreasonable Women Baring Witness, is organizing a "peace march" of naked folks to protest our "regime change" policy in Iraq. "Our message to women all over the world is be bold, be courageous, be vulnerable for peace," says Sheehan. Federalist friend James Taranto responds, "It would be easy to scoff at Donna Sheehan and her fellow bare-naked ladies, but it would be wrong. Not only do we applaud her courageous vulnerability, but from now on we won't take anyone seriously who expresses 'anti-war' sentiments without getting naked." We concur.
Not to be out-dumbed by Unreasonable Women, hundreds of protestors from the United States, Britain, Ireland, Switzerland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain and Denmark are headed for Baghdad to serve as "human shields" at key target sites. "We are on the verge of something big," said New Zealander Christiaan Briggs. Really big -- EXPLOSSIVE, one might even say! The protest is sponsored by the "We the People" organization and The Federalist is providing notice of their endeavor as a public service to all Leftists who oppose protecting U.S. urban centers from nuclear attack by Iraqi surrogates in al-Qa'ida. Pack your bong and head to Baghdad! If you are a member of PETA, we'll buy you a one-way ticket!
