What's the problem here?

The Anti-Semetic / Pro-Palestinian lefties who marched last week don't seem to have problem with it either.

If the lamebrains who are going over to Iraq want to be true human shields they need to get in the way of the swords and ropes being used to kill political prisoners. But, naw, they hate President Bush, not Sodom Insane.

Yet some people still think we need to give Saddam 'one more chance' to defy international law and keep on terrorizing his own people and the world. Go figure.

Great article but a couple of those numbers (not central to the story) are bogus:

1) Actual Iraqi total civilian and military deaths in the Gulf War almost certainly are under 10,000...possibly a LOT under.

Most of those vehicles in the "Highway of Death" were empty after their occupants ran into the desert. There weren't that many Iraqis actually killed, between all the surrenders and running away....

2) The Iranian figure of 300,000 killed in the Iran-Iraq war is absurdly low. They were using human-wave attacks for a good part of that war. If the Iraqi's admit to 500,000 Iranian deaths have to be a million plus...

So,I guess this means you think the UN should go to war agains the US because we refuse to obey the internation Kyoto treaty,as well as the small arms prohibition?

and keep on terrorizing his own people and the world.

While he is terrorizing his own people, that is really none of our business. Or do you think we should go to war against China as soon as we finish off Iraq bedause they use slave labor to make the products for sale at Wal-Mart? If anything,we should be encouraging the people of Iraq to raise up and overthrow him,but this doesn't mean we should do it for them. Freedom handed to you isn't as prescious as freedom earned.

Go figure.

Good advise. You should try it.

You just compound idiocy after idiocy. Kyoto is a treaty we *havent signed* so it doesnt have any force of international law, now, does it? ... this is unlike the ceasefire agreement of the post-GulfWar where Iraq *did* sign up to end their programs producing weapons of mass destruction. Iraq has repeatedly failed to comply with their own promises made in that ceasefire agreement, repeatedly lied to inspectors and stymied the inspections programs, and continues to threaten us and others with its WMD programs and illegal activities.

While he is terrorizing his own people, that is really none of our business. Oh really, US airman flying over Iraq proecting the "nofly" zones are under different orders. I guess we can just end our "no-fly zones" then and let saddam get back to slaughtering his people. .... would that please you?

No,but I would like to know why us going to war where untold thousand of innocent Iraqui people will be slaughtered DOES please you,not to mention all the US lives that will be lost. What is so pleasing about this? WHY do you think it is better for the US to have our military members fight and die in Iraq to protect Israel and Saudi Arabia, rather than let these countries do their own fighting?

Sure, when those 400 cruise missiles a day start flying, they'll be liberated into the hands of Allah (or whoever).

This reporter (John F. Burns) has been doing an unusally good job of reporting from Iraq. He's a superb professional. It's probably doing him no good whatsoever with the Bush-hating, America-hating, self-hating editors of his newspaper. My best wishes to Mr. Burns.

We should go to war against Iraq for the threat he poses to us. The above story is just details.

We may have to go to war with China someday.

Any other points ?

Yes.

And that's a good thing...
