Hirsi Ali: Mohammed was a perverted tirant (September 11 is the beginning of the end of Islam)

AMSTERDAM - "Mohammed is, measured by our Western values, a perverse man. A tirant. If you do not do as he said, it will end not good for you. It reminds me of the megalomanic leaders in the Middle East: Bin Laden, Khomeini, Saddam."
This was said by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, coming member of the Dutch parliament for the VVD, today in Daily Trouw in the series 'the Ten Commandments'. Hirsi Ali says she took back earlier comments about 'the backwardness of Islam' to prevent that such comments were constantly used to attack her. "I changed my words to make them more positive. I think Islam -submitting to the will of Allah- is a backwards principle, but this does not mean that all those who follow this religion are also backwards. They lag behind. That is something different. They can still advance."
Hirsi Ali is convinced that Islam had it's best times: "Bin Laden and his followers did only accomplish the opposite of what they tried to achieve. It will become worse -the war against Iraq will show how bad- but September 11 is the beginning of the end of Islam."
But also the Dutch Christians should look critical towards their own religion: "I think that most people that call themselves a believer are in fact atheists. They try to aviod the question if they really believe in God and lose themselves in wrong things. We should hold a debate in the Netherlands on the question if moral is a human concept, or given by God. And then we have to start an analyse on the way Jan Peter Balkenende comes forward. He is always talking about the values and morals given in the Bible, never about the things God asks us to do or not to do."

Perhaps a brave criticism, but wrong none the less.
His actions have actually been a reflection of a strong trend within the religous and cultural society of which he is a priveliged man.
The direction he extended will actually be part of a grand stream of Islamist extension of a religion that promotes the proletariate.

The second instance is that of a Dutch woman of Somalian origin Ayaan Hirsi Ali who went into hiding like Salman Rushdie and Taslima Nasrin. The reason: she launched a campaign to highlight the plight of Muslim women in Islamic countries and immigrant families from such countries. This angered the clergy who called her a traitor to Islam and a slut. Web sites were full of calls to kill her. Her campaign showed how thousands of Muslim women even in Netherlands were subjected to beatings, incest and emotional and sexual abuse. After changing homes to escape death, Hirsi Ali has fled Netherlands three months ago and nobody knows where she is and what awaits her.
Is this true? The info is from INDOlink Saturday, January 25, 2003

Netherlands: Women´s Rights Activist Receives Threats for Slamming Islam The websites mentioned are Maroc.nl and al-islaam.com. Maroc.nl was raided after two Moroccans were killed in Kashmir. One of them posted on Maroc.nl. Also they offered weapons to use in jihad and urged to train to battle the Dutch people. The latest comments from al-islaam.com are anti-Jewish messages. The death-threat was denied by the islamic community, and even her father, who is angry with her for leaving islam. She fled to the US by the way.

"Bin Laden and his followers did only accomplish the opposite of what they tried to achieve. It will become worse -the war against Iraq will show how bad- but September 11 is the beginning of the end of Islam." I pray she's right. I really admire her...she's very brave.

Yes, if this is true, she is to be commended, and kept safe by any moral person.

She is brave. And today she already got slammed by the Council of Mosques in the Netherlands and a wannabe-imam (he never finished the course, but Haselhoef got national fame for his debates with Pim Fortuyn).
She will recieve more threats, even worse then last time.

...a wannabe-imam (he never finished the course)...A "course"?? What the hell is taught in an "imam course"? Throat slashing? Goat "appreciation"? Memorizing the ramblings of some murderous pedophile lunatic? What's with that?

"She will recieve more threats, even worse then last time."She's in the US? Hopefully, we will be able to protect her.

"We should hold a debate in the Netherlands on the question if moral is a human concept, or given by God."
How do you debate with people who believe that you are evil (an infidel) and deserve to be killed?
This debating thing is a European way to exchange views but when there is no latitude for accepting "a new truth" I wouldn't waste my time!

In the Netherlands we got an imam who is Dutch, converted to islam and went to Saudi Arabia to follow such a course and came back.
He hates the West, and saw Taliban-era Afghanistan as the only really islamic nation.
I also debated on the Dutch LPF forum with a guy who attended 7 years of koran-school.
My findings are that on such a course they brainwash you and learn you how to lie and twist the real image of islam when speaking to non-muslims.
Haselhoef said in the statement about Hirsi Ali that mohammed was kicked out of Taif (Ta'if), a city in Saudi Arabia (he was forced to flee after he insulted the Arabic idol gods of the pagans) he never hold a grundge against them, and did not whished them dead, even when they tried to stone him.
But the truth is different: mohammed returned in 630 AD to Taif and put the city under seige!
