President Bush made no public appearances today so there is just a few pics. President Bush will be delivering the State of the Union speech next week as he prepares the nation for possible war with Iraq. Colin Powell is busy at the U.N. trying to convince the French to at least wait for the first shot to be fired before they surrender. We need to keep the President in our prayers, NOW more than ever. The only pic taken of the presdient today was when he held a meeting with members of the U.S.-Afghan Womens Council delegation in the Roosevelt Room early today.

QUOTE OF THE DAY; "Many questions remain about Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and arsenal and it is Iraq's obligation to provide answers. It is failing in spectacular fashion. By both its actions and its inactions, Iraq is proving not that it is a nation bent on disarmament, but that it is a nation with something to hide. Iraq is still treating inspections as a game. It should know that time is running out." By Condoleezza Rice 1/22/03

President Bush stands with country stars Toby Keith, right, and singer actress Nell Carter, center in black dress, while the U.S. Marine Band looks on during a patriotic TV special at the White House in this July 30, 2001 file photo. Nell Carter, who played the sassy, matronly housekeeper on the 1980s sitcom "Gimme a Break!" and received a Tony Award in 1978 for her performance in the Broadway musical "Ain't Misbehavin'," died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 her publicist said. She was 54. (AP Photo/WETA, Robert Visser, File)

Good evening, MJY. I want to say thank you to you and ohio for stepping in for rintense while she recovers.
Does anybody know how her recovery is going?
rintense, if you're lurking, I hope you have a speedy recovery. Come back soon!
Is that Karen Hughes I see in the first picture? She must be in D.C. to help with the SotU.

I think her recovery is going well, but doubt she has a shot at winning the Australian Open this time around.
To: MJY1288
Nel Carter..that's who died...awe...how sad... it is scary though when the media says "of natural causes" at age 55. Like in a few more years "I'm natural causes" at age 52....What's so natural about that...except putting up with G## Dam## Liberals!!!! Okay...Rant over!

I have a puzzle. I've been listening to White House press briefings and noticed I wasn't hearing Helen Thomas. Not one of my favorite people.
I did a google search and came up with this article that indicated she had left the job at the White House.
http://www.aeispeakers.com/Thomas-Helen.htm
Then I listened to today's briefing and her raspy whiny voice was back asking a question. What gives? Did she leave or not? Ari called her question wily today. I wish she would disappear from press conferences, but I guess that is too much to hope for.

I see Ed Harris pi$$ed you off too :-), A real man wouldn't make a comment like Ed Harris did, Guys who do what Ed Harris did is what we guys call a "PUNK". GWB would never respond to such a juvenile statement by someone who can only ACT like he is a man.
BUT, I'm not above responding :-) HEY ED HARRIS, Why don't you and the rest of your leftist, Un-Informed, Sheltered, Knee Jerk Commie friends in Hollywood accept this quarter from me, so that you can go call someone who gives a sh*t what you think :-)
