Michael Ledeen of The American Enterprise Institute makes frequent visits to Italy/Europe.
In his appearances on the Dennis Prager show (www.smarttalk870.com; www.dennisprager.com)
he has said that Italy is one of the countries "on the continent" that has been with the
USA since 9-11.
Also, maybe six months ago, The Los Angeles Times had a major article about the
Italian police trailing and bugging Islamic terrorists operating in Italy.
Some of the transcripts of the surveillence tapes were almost a laugh riot...
basically the conversation was along the lines of "Italy sucks...Dear Allah
I hate this place".
When somebody hates a place with great pasta, beautiful babes, and lots of neat
Roman ruins...you know you're dealing with some VERY sick puppies...
(who might as well be "put down" before they harm any innocents)

The Italians are really coming through lately. We should shift all of our aid for germany and france over to them.
Is it just me, or does it seem like all of the jihadis are coming from Morocco?

Time to roll.
I think the appropriate verbiage is something like:
ANDIAMO!
I don't know Italian, but my brother said this (at least phonetically) was something
like "Let's Go!" in Italian...
Surely someone can help us out here...

(The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.)
Italy battled the Red Army for years. Hats off to Italy for all their effort fighting the mob, terrorists and decadence across Europe.

Earlier news: Moroccans in Italy arrested on suspecion of terrorism
Yup, each news item makes me a bigger Italia fan. Stay safe paisans!!
On October 22, 2002, Oriana Fallaci addressed an audience at the American Enterprise Institute. Following are short excerpts from her talk. Ms. Fallaci, a native of Florence, Italy and a life-long journalist, caused turmoil across Europe with the publication of her book The Rage and the Pride, calling the West to stand up to the Islamic world.
"If we continue to stay inert, they will become always more and more. They will demand always more and more, they will vex and boss us always more and more. 'Til the point of subduing us. Therefore, dealing with them is impossible. Attempting a dialogue, unthinkable. Showing indulgence, suicidal. And he or she who believes the contrary is a fool."
Western society superior to Islam, says Berlusconi ~FR
...he declared that he and his host considered that the September 11 attacks "are attacks not only on the United States but on our civilisation, of which we are proud bearers, conscious of the supremacy of our civilisation".
"We should be conscious of the superiority of our civilisation, which consists of a value system that has given people widespread prosperity in those countries that embrace it, and guarantees respect for human rights and religion." As if to rub salt in the wound, he added: "This respect certainly does not exist in the Islamic countries."

A relative of mine ran off to Germany with "an older woman"...actually
his German language instructor in college.
They had plans to find jobs in Germany.
After about three weeks they returned.
My brother found he despised just about every German he met (except in the countryside)...
and he fell in love with Italy.
As he said "There may be soot in the cities and they might short you on change
at the restaurant...but Italy is the place, dude!"
