Some have said that the practice of 'white-face' among the Japanese is to emulate their ancient rulers. There are ancient paintings of the samurai that the Japanese keep hidden...they're caucasian.

It would be interesting to see those.

The Ainu-related samurai achieved such power and prestige in medieval Japan that they intermarried with royalty and nobility...

I was under the impressionn that the "pure" Japanese considered the [hairy] Ainu to be considerably inferior to other Japanese.

"I was under the impressionn that the "pure" Japanese considered the [hairy] Ainu to be considerably inferior to other Japanese."

That came later. Today, the Japanese call the Ainu, 'The Hairy Ainu' with distaste. (There are about 10,000 Ainu left in Japan)

My Blonde Throphy Wife: "Gad, they had Sam's Clubs in ancient China!"

Me: Not a chinaman's chance.

Yup. They all scattered during the Black Sea flood (Noah's Flood?) in 5,600BC. These folks were the ancestors of the mummies found in the Chinese desert. (Tocharians)

Interesting map ... kinda makes one extremely curious to see what ruins might lie under the Black Sea.

Don't let Slick Willie see that photo. We wouldn't want him to get excited.
