Those of us with 'long memories' are open-mouthed at the bizarre positions of France and Germany.
I could swear I recall their devastation from WWII bombings, and Uncle Sam's Marshall Plan putting them back into operation.
But then, I was a child, and what did I know?
We provided the $$$ and help to rebuild their nations and economies, forgoshsake, and nursed them along through all these years.
Threatening us with their European Union, eh?
Now we understand why our early forefathers emigrated from there to here, and are ever so grateful for their courage to start anew and effect changes.
Unfortunately, it appears 'United Eurasia' (including Russia with 'em, more or less) is becoming rather big for its britches and has a poor collective memory.
As for The Players on the Home Front, we have more than will fit on a Wheaties cereal box at one time.
Oh, well - time for some of Gail's great coffee and get going for the day.
