Eloping with Britney Spears? Then becoming a famous pop star. Getting aids by sharing a needle. But then recovering, and doing a best-selling book and movie on his recovery. Before being run over by a pie wagon. And then forgotten.

Indeed. What is next? It's extremely unlikely that Ritter is "cured" of his pedophilia, which means he is almost certain to re-offend. Probably, he already has done so. As I've said elsewhere, we haven't heard the end of this. Somebody is going to probe his past and I'm betting that he will hit paydirt (so to speak).
