The court was told that Sheikh el-Faisal, a Jamaican national, was born William Forest to a Salvation Army family of practising Christians. He converted to Islam at the age of 16 and took a degree in Islamic Studies in Riyadh.

Do we know whether he ever met Richard Reid? Don't we know that Reid attended Abu Hamza's mosque?

In other news today, Jamaican sniper Lee Malvo was indicted for capital murder by a grand jury in Fairfax County, Virginia. For that matter, Malvo and John Muhammad lived a long time in the Pacific Northwest, where people like James Ujaama, who associated with Abu Hamza in London, also lived.

Before the opening of the trial, Judge Peter Beaumont, QC, the Common Serjeant of London, decided to ban Jews and Hindus from serving as jurors after Sheikh el-Faisal’s lawyers said that their presence would prevent him from receiving a fair trial. The trial is expected to last three weeks.

Much as Los Angeles police were outgunned in a West Coast gun battle in the States several years ago, British police officers will be unable to stand up to AK-47 wielding, grenade throwing, Muslim fighters in the streets of London. This attack, combined with the fallout of the WMD strike, will take several days if not a week to contain -- during which much of the UK's economic infrastructure will be destroyed.

Should a general uprising then be ignited, there is a strong possibility that this theatre will collapse the US attack on Iraq as left wing peaceniks around the globe rally to the Islamic entente cause.

Blair must unleash his security forces immediately -- while there is still time to head off this attack. This is no time for faint hearts to delicately prepare the tea...
