I really don't know how they can even live given their fishbowl situation in life. Maybe Scientology gives them some kind of grip. Lisa Marie seems to be very private and rather timid. I bet she dosn't make a move or say a word without advice from her councelors.

and whether his millions of fans have any idea where their money has gone. Scientology seems to be in direct conflict with Elvis Presley's own personal credo, which was "Shake, rattle and roll" with a barbiturate twist. Huh ? - you mean its still my money even after I bought all that junk? - wont my builder get an eye opener tomorrow
FYI - "Shake rattle and roll" - was Bill Haley - not Elvis
As much as Scientology is hooey - The Presley clan can spend it how they see fit - it aint my money ! - thangyaverymuch for the article

My oldest sister is a Scientologist - as is her husband, her four daughters and their husbands. They all just visited me this past weekend and I'm here to tell you - they are a bunch of kooks. Not only do they spout the Ritalin line mentioned in the article, they are convinced that Saddam's handlers are giving him psychotic drugs - hence, the problem with Iraq. Oh, and they all claimed President Bush was a warmonger. I love these folks, but this had to be the longest, most miserable weekend of my life.

"But at least one song will preach the Scientology cause that tries to stop parents from giving their children drugs like Ritalin to treat Attention Deficit Disorder."
I do believe that many children benefit from taking Ritalin and related drugs. However, we have a public school district down here in Southeast Texas that had 33% of its elementary students on that type of drug (how ya doing out there Fort Bend??). This made it much easier for the teachers to control kids, and the parents had to put forth less effort to get homework results from the children.
Don't forget, I am old. We apparently had ADHD children when I was growing up. Were I growing up today, I'm sure everyone would have recommended that I be doped to keep me under control. These children were called "high-strung."
Instead, I had a mom who recognized that children need a lot of outdoor time to burn off energy. I also attended a school where the bus dropped us off at least 30 minutes before school started in the morning, and we were allowed to play (supervised) outside. We had a recess in the morning, 30 minutes to play outside at lunchtime (if you ate your lunch quickly), and another recess in the afternoon. The recesses were in addition to P.E. I never took a drug for my excess energy, and with this environment, made all A's and B's throughout my primary education.
My son today attends a public school that allows fifth graders to get one 15-minute recess per day and P.E. three times a week. He was first recommended to take Ritalin in the second grade. I said, "Not no, but hell, no." We put him in extracurricular athletic activities, gave him consequences for disrupting class, and rewards when he behaved. He remains drug-free.
Dope the children or change their environment. I bet Elvis was ADHD from what I've read about him. And wouldn't it suck bad to see him sing "Hound Dog" like a Ritalin zombie?

Just because these wack jobs think something doesn't make it wrong.

This goes along the likes of John Travolta and Tom Cruise.
I think I'll make Festivas a religion and start my own cult.

But at least one song will preach the Scientology cause that tries to stop parents from giving their children drugs like Ritalin to treat Attention Deficit Disorder Scientologists are hardly alone in this. There were parents groups who opposed this well before the cultists did.

I can't imagine how bad this album must be. I've been hearing about how it's been in the can for about a decade. If it were at all listenable, surely some label would have picked it up years ago just because of the surname involved.
