President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House this morning to go to Landover, Maryland, where the President, joined by Condoleezza Rice, spoke to the congregation of First Baptist Church of Glenarden on the anniversary honoring slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. He was welcomed warmly and given a standing ovation by the congregation, and spoke from his heart of the prejudice still holding people back, and the need for healing the hurt and hopelessness that still exist . On Sunday, the President announced his proposal to increase spending to historically black and Hispanic colleges, and universities by 5%. Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

What a horrible story. I hate medical lawsuits, but she needs to get as much as she can for this.
Oh, yeah!

C-SPAN is trying to hide the showing of the President's appearance at this church. GRRR!! This really frosts me! I tried to access it and I get that video no longer available stuff. But they sure have plenty of the communists from over the weekend
JERKS!

I really love the pictures in front of the Cross. Our President is so at home in the Lord's house.

They are adorable. I agree, I love the picture where he can't take his eyes off Laura. I also love the picture when they are in their seats, and he has his arm resting on the arm of her chair..LOL, he just can't be close enough to her!! Did you happen to see the footage of them getting off Marine One on the news? I missed it, and was just hoping someone caught it.

Watch the hospital bashing here!
Mr. Ohio is a hospital administrator, and he runs a clean ship!
besides, he brought me a rose today, just to say "I love you!"
Be at peace, rintense. Waiting's not always easy!

Lauratealeaf, thank you for you and your son's service to our country. Mr. Inspectorette and I ask a blessing every evening - for our family and loved ones who are sick or hurting, for our President, his family and his team, and for our wonderful young men and women who are serving our country in the military.
Our son-in-law is in the Marine Corps. He is stationed at the Pentagon and was there on that terrible day. He was scheduled for Okinawa this summer for three years, thankfully, accompanied. Now that's on hold, and we don't know from one day to the next. Fortunately, our daughter just goes with the flow - she's been a military wife for many years.

What wonderful pixes from today's touching/uplifting service! The President was phenomenal -- he has the heart and rhetorical cadance of a Baptist minister!
Love the KISS!!! [Ohio: Hmmmmmmmmm! My husband hasn't given me a rose in awhile -- I plan to show him your post!!]
