President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House this morning to go to Landover, Maryland, where the President, joined by Condoleezza Rice, spoke to the congregation of First Baptist Church of Glenarden on the anniversary honoring slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. He was welcomed warmly and given a standing ovation by the congregation, and spoke from his heart of the prejudice still holding people back, and the need for healing the hurt and hopelessness that still exist . On Sunday, the President announced his proposal to increase spending to historically black and Hispanic colleges, and universities by 5%. Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Fortunately, our daughter just goes with the flow - she's been a military wife for many years.
That is the only way to keep peace of mind at times like these, that is for sure. I am so glad that your son-in-law came through that attack on the Pentagon. We had a friend who was lost in it.

Thanks so much.

You know I read that thread and laughed til I just about cried. The President can't even change his plans and come home a day early without the perinoid crowd thinking something is up. He probably decided to watch the football game at the White House instead of Camp David.
Those people need to get a life. Like the President has to come back to the White House to order an attack on Iraq....duh the White House is not the only place he can communicate with whoever he wants to.

Well, it was supposed to be a big deal that they came home early, since they were scheduled to come back Monday, but it doesn't look like it was a big deal.
Maybe they forgot to pack their Sunday best for the sermon the President preached today! :o)

Or maybe he packed his own clothes and ran out of underware for the weekend!!!! I don't think the President is obligated to explain why he decided to come back one day early. Ohio, can you believe those people???
