Peace protestors are evil, dictator appeasing weasels. It's probably a waste of time (liberalss are brainwashed), but I'd love to see someone that's registered post this quote at the Democratic underground:
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.
The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -- John Stuart Mill

...more weapons are aimed in our direction. So they admit there is a growing WMD problem? That's a start- unless they are referring to increasing numbers of SUVs.

Excellant cartoon. I think I'll borrow it. Thanks for posting the link to the DUmmies thread, monitoring this thread...
This is the first time I've actually read anything there. Folks, if you want to see a how anti-American the Democratic party has become, just go to this site.

According to DU, you and Ann Coulter are to blame! ;^)
They say you are quite close to her...that's not a bad thing is it?
Better than being a Democrat and close to ughh, Susan Estrich.

Defense Counsel: With the court's indulgence, I offer in evidence these videotapes of Mr. Ritter's recent televised statements on Iraq. They clearly show that Mr. Ritter could not possibly possess that which he is reputed to have offered to exhibit to that youngster.
Judge: Your point is well-taken. Do the people have a rebuttal?
Prosecutor: Your honor, after viewing these tapes, I must confess that for the first time ever, I must bow low to counsel for defense. The state amends the charge to false advertising.

Piasa,
Are you still up and about? You seem to have the best info about Scott Ritter and I've got a few questions I'd like to run by you, if you've got a minute.

I have viewed their posts and have come to the conclusion they are somewhat young and don't have a whole lot of real knowledge about subjects like taxation, politics and war. I have hope that with some life experience in the real world many they will slowly become more conservative. They seem to be just following a few leaders and spewing hate and misinformation.
Look at the posts about Ritter, they know or post nothing about his background, education and no discussion of why he changed 180 degrees.
When Pitt talked to Ritter he said Ritter could not talk about it because of the sealed records which I believe is not true but that Ritter can say anything he wants the only thing sealed is the offical records. Plain Baloney. I can only guess Pitt flunked out of law school. I imagine before the week is out Ritter will have to answer some questions or look even worse. The kicker is by Ritter saying he couldn't talk about it it was sealed, was IMO an admission of the allegation.
Next look at their comment about the proposed $75,000 tax expense for SUV's. They don't explain that this is for vehicles used for business or that there are ramifications if you take the expense instead of depreciation and are subject to being taxed later on. It is totally misleading. They also don't explain the reason for the original regulation, who pased it or why or why it is being expanded and what effect is is supposed to have. No thought whatsoever, just rants based on misinformation.
Ignorance seems to be bliss over there.
I now see why Fox news has helped the Conservatives, just by spreading a little truth and getting rid of disinformation that is being passed around as gospel by some Democratic sheep.

i was contemplating the very same thing. either his own family...or perhaps even some people he met (like some kids, with none of the implications that might be read into that because of the nature of this thread) while he was in iraq. But, i still don't like the guy trashing our country. Anyway, the whole turn of events for him, from his service to his country, to his apparent disservice to his country, is nothing less than tragic.

Thanks, piasa. Don't worry to much about the links (unless they are immediately at hand). I'm looking more for a thumbnail sketch about your beliefs or understandings regarding some of the details that are unfolding now about SR's past.
- In one of your posts you quote a source as suggesting that Ritter spied for Israel.
- Do you give any credence to this possibility?
- What would be his motive to spy for them?
- Is Ritter a Jew?
- Is his wife Marina a (Russian) Jew?
- Could Mossad have been blackmailing SR? (re: pedophilia or ?)
- Could the connection to Mossad have been via Marina through the FSB/SVR to Mossad? (aka, the alleged close connection between the KGB and Mossad?)
- Another of your posts suggests that Hussein believed that Ritter was acting as agent for Mossad and the CIA. But once the Iraqi Mukhabarat got wind of American intelligence concerns (via loose lips in UNSCOM) that ours side feared Ritter might be an agent for the SVR and Mossad, wouldn't the Mukhabarat have clandestinely tested what Ritter's real allegiances were?
- What if the Mukhabarat set Ritter up with a test where they left highly classified info about (for instance) Hezbollah out in plain view for Ritter to see. Ritter passes that info on to Mossad which in turn takes public action on that information. Mukhabarat can now conclusively prove Ritter feeds info to the Mossad. Couldn't this also be a basis for the blackmail of Ritter by the Mukhabarat?
- Do you give any credence to the suspicion that Iraq was blackmailing Ritter based on info they may have possessed about SR's Pedophilia (keeping in mind the critical timeline you presented of Dec. 1998 to June 1999)?
Whew, that ought to cure you the habit of offering to answer a "few" questions! Take on what ever part of the above that interests you. I guess you can tell from these questions, that I'm viewing his pair of 2001 arrests in NY as merely an artifact of the bribe/blackmail that Iraq held over Ritter's head, and not the core of what Iraq had. Actually, it seems NY is a bit of side issue in the question of what did Iraq have on him, except for the major credibility hit Ritter takes out of this mess.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Regards,
--Boot Hill

I see Lucianne.com's quick picks has an article that Ritter's attorney confirms it was Scott Ritter of UN fame (read nutjob) who was arrested.

Think they would let me use my screen name there? ;^)
LOL ! I registered there a year or so ago. I posted an Ann Coulter 'leggy' pic and posted some positive comment about President Bush. I was immediately banned ! LOL !
Your screen name alone would get you banned !
