Rush Knocked Off Air In South Florida (WIOD Alert)

Right in the middle of the Rush Limbaugh show (I was looking forward to him playing Ramsey Clark's comments from Saturday), he got knocked off the air by WIOD in order for them to broadcast the Miami Heat pre-game show. Now I'm really STEAMED at WIOD. Not only do they have that BORING Todd Schnitt on in the late afternoon, but they just knocked Rush off the air. A couple of weeks ago, WIOD knocked Rush off the air to broadcast a judge's sentencing decision (they goofed since the judge didn't give it when they thought).

WIOD really sucks. They do this a lot to Rush's show. Either he is knocked off the air entirely like today or they interrupt the show with news updates that only the WIOD news director thinks is important enough to pre-empt Rush.

There has got to be another radio station in south Florida(Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, etc.etc) that carries Rush.

From where I live I can get Rush on 3 different radio sations with pretty good reception(Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Youngstown).

It must really get these big-media wannabes steamed to see the popularity of the conservative position as set forth by Rush. All stations I've heard him on will dog-ear his program at the slightest opportunity.

They have a visceral hatred for the conservative position, but they can't deny the money that advertisers throw at them for carrying Rush.

It must be terrible to be in a business where you can stay afloat only by playing programs that are diametrically opposed to your own beliefs.

They do it in central FL too! EVERY DAY they "Step on" his show with ads that run while he is talking. EVERY DAY! Seems like someone would catch this "Misstake" after YEARS OF DOING THIS! (WNDB Daytona Beach)

Looks like WJNO out of West Palm is on the list if you can't get any of the feeds to work properly for you.

You can hear him on the web but it is very problematical. However, if you live in Central Broward or north, you can pick him up on 1290 AM from West Palm. I just tuned it in. Check it out. BTW, can anybody out there tell me if I missed hearing Rush playing Ramsey Clark's impeachment rant?

I am now getting Rush on 1290 AM, WJNO, out of West Palm. Did you hear how WIOD news director knocked Rush off the air a couple of weeks ago to go to a sentencing hearing? And then it turned out he goofed. The news director then wasted more time going on the air to explain his goof.

Hey WIOD! Why don't you leave Rush on the air and get rid of that dullard, Todd Schnitt?

I notice that the news teams on WIOD can be quite leftist, in spite of their conservative featured shows, Dr. Laura, Rush and Schnitt. I suppose they might have a contract to honor for the pregames shows, though.

I like Schnitt OK, though he can be kind of obnoxious. I notice his show often paralles the discussions in FR, even to some fairly minor and odd postings, I suppose he lurks here, maybe posts.

WIOD also walks on "Coast to Coast" all the time with pregame shows, really annoying unless you're a basketball fan, which I'm not. I like Coast to Coast sometimes, though.

Funny how they are so clueless as to broadcast that dullard, Todd Schnitt. He is just one big BOREFEST. It would be better if they broadcast the G-Man. We don't get him down here.
