The first air-terror strike against the United States did not take place on Sept. 11, 2001, according to a groundbreaking new release from WND Books.
"First Strike," by investigative reporters Jack Cashill and James Sanders, argues that the first air-terror strike took place on July 17, 1996, when 230 died with the tragic downing of TWA Flight 800 off the coast of Long Island.
Cashill and Sanders have uncovered startling new evidence about the crash, including a critical Islamic terrorist connection covered up by federal investigators to give America a false sense of peace leading to the polls in November.
To be sure, immediate evidence gathered in the investigation pointed to a bomb or missile, and news accounts filed throughout the waning days of summer pointed to the likelihood of a terrorist attack.
But as the investigation labored on, something happened. "First Strike" meticulously documents that evidence indicating something other than the government's adopted theory mechanical failure was tampered with, ignored, lost or destroyed, while industrious reporters, including James Sanders, were harassed and bullied by government officials to push them off the trail.
Not dissuaded, Cashill and Sanders discredit the National Transportation Safety Board and FBI version of events by documenting myriad cases of malfeasance, lies and hush-ups inside the investigation and, perhaps worse for the nation, outside, as the fraudulent information was filtered to reporters and a credulous American people.
"First Strike," the fourth release from Thomas Nelson imprint WND Books, takes readers step by step through the deception explaining the motives and methods of a cover-up designed to make Americans believe that 230 fellow citizens hadn't died at the hands of Islamic terrorists.
Readers can pre-order "First Strike" today at WND's online store, ShopNetDaily, where it will be exclusively available beginning in February, before being made available at bookstores in March.

Now, excuse me, while I go slap myself.
Actually the FBI pressed the "terrorist" angle as long as it could. The facts just didn't support that contention.
And he would never, ever, pin the blame on the extremist right wing to further his political career, either.
