WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 - As the Bush administration heads toward a crucial United Nations Security Council meeting at the end of this month, a strong council majority appears less willing than ever to agree that early military action against Iraq is justified.
Snip
There is widespread international appreciation of the fact that inspectors would not be in Iraq today if the United States had not used its overwhelming military and diplomatic power, the official said. Bush could easily declare victory now and save himself a potential debacle. He's shown seriousness, and Saddam caved, the official said. If you ask whether the world is in a better position vis-a-vis Saddam Hussein than it was a year ago, the answer is Absolutely. Is that victory Yes, if you want it to be.

We did begin the troop buildup months ago. Don't rely too much on the lamestream media.

I'm thinking that either the report to the UN by the inspectors and/or the State of the Union speech will do just this -- totally discredit the naysayers.
"He who controls communication rules the world."
The liberal press will do anything to destroy the U.S. in return for ratings and socialist power.
I think the media runs the U.N. The U.N. believes the propaganda rather than push it aside and seriously see the real world and decide for themselves. Example: Anti-war protests are big news in the media, but the 10,000 pro-U.S. protestors in S.Korea never made the airwaves. Gee, I wonder why. 100 anti-American protestors in Russia had re-runs!!!
Nonsense. If Slick Willie (or another Rat) were the Prez there would hardly be a protester out there. Do you remember any major demonstrations during x42's Operation Desert Fox or Balkans War? There weren't any. ...And thousands of innocent Serbs and Iraqi civilians died in those conflicts.
These protesters have don't have a principled bone in their bodies. They're socialist Rats, pure and simple.
You nailed it. The socialist media's agenda is there for ....few of us to see. ...The few of us who don't rely on the NY Slimes, Washington Post, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and most local city rags for our news.
Who isn't?
Americans were bombed about 4 (5?) times by Al Quata during the Clinton reign of terror, yet Clinton talked big, and did nothing. He caused the belief that America is soft bellied. That they were afraid to fight back. Clntons lack of action led to the 9/11 attack. If they could attack without consequences elsewhere, why not right inside the U.S itself? So they did.
Since the 9/11 attack, other nations now see we may not be invinsable, and now they feel they can terrify us, and control us.
Gee, thanks for the legacy of death, Bill!
Anyway, now Bush has to reverse the damage done, and it won't be easy. They don't want America to rebuild and regain it's strength. They will now do anything to disrespect and propagandize whatever Bush does to secure America. Anything.
With the propaganda aid offered by anti-american peacenicks and press here in the U.S., many nations may now feel America can be defeated.
I've always said the liberals will be the cause of the fall of America either from within or without someday. It's happened all through history. They never learn. That's why it is so important to fight the concept of liberals having any more power within the U.S. They're nation killers.
The muslim religious leaders have claimed France and Germany for the nation of Islam. Those 2 countries are so full of muslims, the leaders cower in fear of them.
So much for the glories of diversity.
France and Germany are now considerd Islamic countries and part of the Nation of Islam according to the muslim clerics.

All the carriers will not be in final position by that time, but Duh... that's why they carry aircraft!
No. They're doing it for political power. If they truely were for peace in the world, they'd have protested the Clinton troop deployments and bombings - and they weren't even for national security!
Clinton reign of terror bombings =OK.
Bush national security =bad.
If they were honestly for peace, they'd be for peace no matter who was in the Whitehouse, right?

I was in South Carolina at the Charleston airport when the first C-5A landed there, at the co-located Military Airbase... Strom Thurman was scheduled to talk right after the plane landed. The C5A landed right on schedule, and promptly blew 4 tires.
Strom strode to the microphone, and his first words were..."That's why I made them put 23 tires on the sucker!"
Wrong. Its purpose was to focus Saddam on courting the UN rather than building up his WMDs while we prepared to destroy him.
The marchers were members of and children of the Herbert Marcuse generation. A sad display indeed.
The air war is more than likely underway. It would be more cost effective to simply put bullets in the heads of Hussein's family but I am all for blowing some stuff up along the way.
