Muslims involved? No way.
But, they would ask "why are we in Madagascar anyways, your embassy is a tool of your imperialism".

About 17,500 members of the Intimor tribe in Madagascar have involvement with Dawa activists of the Kuwait-based Africa Muslim Agency - The Intimor people had been Muslims, but lost contact with the Muslim world and gradually became ignorant about their faith, and with the advent of Christian missionaries they either embraced that faith or became agnostics. He said this campaign of re-Islamising them took four years of hard work. Sheikh Bin Issa said he expects at least another 50,000 members of the tribe to revert to Islam in near future, and thereafter more and more of them are expected to join, including those tribes in the environs of the areas in which this tribe lives. He said these new Muslims need all they help they can get, and appealed to philanthropists in the Muslim world to help in this endeavour, so as to counter the missionary activities.
Hope this helps!

Is Madagascar a Muslim nation?According to The World Factbook 2002 the distribution is: "indigenous beliefs" 52%, Christian 41%, Muslim 7%.

Well, that'll teach us imperialist yankee capitalist running dogs a thing or two...It definately taught me something. We should work harder on shooting these SOBs before they can do things like that. No Mercy.

According to The World Factbook 2002 the distribution is: "indigenous beliefs" 52%, Christian 41%, Muslim 7%.p.s.: That "52% indigenous beliefs" (animist?) population may be fertile grounds for recruitment to Islam.

There has been an attack on a member of staff from the US embassy in Madagascar.
It happened in the early hours of Thursday morning, but details have only just begun to emerge.
The US embassy says it is too early to say whether it is a terrorist incident.
It has only confirmed that a grenade was lobbed over the wall of the compound where one of their members of staff lives, in the residential suburb of Ivandry.
Embassy to remain open
The area is well known as a place for housing staff from the embassies.
They say the grenade bounced off the outer wall of the house and landed in the garden where it exploded, causing widespread damage to property.
No-one was injured in the attack.
The embassy says this is the first such incident of its type in Madagascar.
Ravalomanana's party won the December parliamentary election
They are warning their staff to be extra vigilant but say the embassy will remain open at least for the time being.
Intelligence experts from the United States visited the country at the end of last year.
They were investigating reports about the sighting of a man believed to be one of the chief suspects in the Nairobi and Dar es Salaam embassy bombings in 1998.
But embassy staff are not admitting any direct connections between the two incidents.
Earlier on Friday, the country's President Marc Ravalomanana made a speech at the opening ceremony of the new parliament, in which he specifically mentioned that Madagascar wanted to play a role in international politics and would help in the war against terrorism.

Is Madagasgar a Mulim Country? Only a small amount of Muslims according to the CIA World Fact Book, but near the coast of Africa, so a ready supply of terrorists, although there is a percentage of Indonesians on Island.
Ethnic groups:
Malayo-Indonesian (Merina and related Betsileo), Cotiers (mixed African, Malayo-Indonesian, and Arab ancestry - Betsimisaraka, Tsimihety, Antaisaka, Sakalava), French, Indian, Creole, Comoran
Religions:
indigenous beliefs 52%, Christian 41%, Muslim 7%
