me at this difficult time of year. For me, this is not a time of
celebration, it is a time for remembering the 45 million children
who would not have died if not for the infamous Roe v. Wade
decision. Those who support abortion rights are wrong, as I was
for many years. I particularly applaud the courage of women who
are beginning to speak out about the pain their abortion caused
them, and be Silent No More. We need to respect women and their
children. We need to help each women in a vulnerable pregnancy,
like I was, not offer the cruelty of abortion."

Groups cite evidence of progress toward overturning of Roe v. Wade.
As the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade approaches, a coalition of pro-life groups yesterday underscored their commitment to overturning the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that permits abortion on demand.
Just as we now look back on our nations history and ask how decent men and women could have tolerated and defended such horrors as slavery, segregation and discrimination, so the next generation will ask how decent men and women could tolerate and even welcome such abominations as abortion, euthanasia and cloning, said Sandy Rios, president of Concerned Women for America, which hosted the event.
The pro-life movement is working together, said Janet Folger of Faith2Action. We are united and stronger than ever before.
Representing 11 organizations, participants discussed the reasons for their confidence: Congress and President Bush, public opinion and technology, they said, are on their side. Just a day earlier, President Bush had issued a proclamation declaring Sunday, January 19, as National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
Folger released new poll results that indicate that 70 percent of Americans believe our country should restore legal protection to children not yet born and 66 percent favor judicial nominees who would restore that protection. Wirthlin Worldwide conducted this random poll of 1001 adults. It has a 3.1 percent margin of error. Further, Every individual poll shows young people are strongly pro-life, she said.
The coalition announced a national ad campaign that aims to draw even more public opinion to their side. The ad, which appeared in The Washington Times yesterday, features the image of an unborn child in 4-D ultrasound, and the message, America, its time to protect your children again.
Some pregnancy resource centers across the country are converting to licensed medical clinics in order to use ultrasound technology in their efforts to help women. Centers which provide such services are reporting up to 90 percent of their clientele choosing life after viewing their babies, said Thomas Glessner, president of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates.
Members of the group said they will work toward revocation of the abortion pill RU-486, which has proven dangerous and even deadly to women; and congressional passage of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, parental notification laws and the Vitter amendment, which would stop federal funding of abortion providers through family planning services; and a complete ban on cloning.
Bioethicist Nigel Cameron described cloning as the second round in the debatefrom the taking of human life to the making of human life. Pia de Solenni of the Family Research Council said that cloning would objectify women more than ever before by creating an industry within the body of women.
Groups participating were Concerned Women for America, American Values, Eagle Forum, Faith2Action, Family Research Council, National Institute of Family Life Advocates, Traditional Values Coalition, Wilberforce Forum and the Christian Coalition.
