"We've lost complete control," said Jane Tollini, the zoos penguin keeper. "It's a free-for-all in here. After 18 years of doing this job, these birds are making mincemeat of me."

I think they are trying to retrace the slave routes and searching for the food that slaves thrown overboard provided.

What?

I thought that animals in zoos going in circles was a sign that they had gone crazy from being enclosed in tight spaces and without much stimulation. A big problem with big animals like elephants too.

I think there used to be a rock and roll band by this name.

Don't discount it out of hand.
It could be the newcomers upset the balance of the flock, in some unknown bird way, and they are somehow trying to sort that out.
Pretty bizarre, at any rate.

Maybe anti-prissy-zookeeper protest?

Strange, nevertheless. Just the other day I saw a mass of our own species running around an oval race course. Seemingly endless, and they looked to be in discomfort - but wouldn't stop.

Your obviously not familiar with Algore's and some left wing congressmans contention that the sharks in the Atlantic swim the old slave routes looking for food. Seems they believe such a massive number of slaves were thrown overboard as to cause a change in the sharks feeding areas.

I think its a bunch of CRAP!
