Horrible story, but "witnesses told police the vehicle was traveling in excess of 100 mph?" What kind of nonsense is that?

Stupidity would be my guess.......
According to his agent,
Dallas Cowboys backup
cornerback Dwayne Goodrich
surrendered to police
Tuesday in connection
with this crash.

It means several witnesses noticed that he was driving at an excessive speed, far above the speed limit. Pretty easy to judge if one car is passing others.
No nonsense at all, and no excuse for such reckless behavior. If you speed, you take a chance. He took a chance and loss. Now its time to pay the price. He should be charged with manslaughter and failure to render aid, nothing less, and no bargaining down. If he is able to bargain out of manslaughter charges, the DA should be voted out of office.
There is absolutely no excuse for this bullcrap. Killed 2 Good Samaritans because he was not only in a hurry, but reckless, too.
