A second Birmingham woman has been found dead following a dispute over an arranged marriage.
Student Balqis Akhtar, aged 20, was discovered with two gunshot wounds to her head in the village of Kangar, near Gujar Kahn, in Pakistan.
She was sent abroad from her home in Birmingham for an arranged marriage but is said to have argued with her father about the match.
Police in Pakistan have now launched a murder inquiry and are liaising with detectives in the West Midlands who are also investigating the death.
News of the killing comes just days after Sahda Bibi, 21, of Alum Rock, was murdered on her wedding day in a dispute over a "love match" marriage.
Police have issued an all-ports alert in the hunt for prime suspect Rafaquat Hussain, 37, who disapproved of Sahda's marriage to her sweetheart and "first real love" Zafar Hussein, from Barnsley.
Details of the second arranged marriage tragedy were revealed by Balqis's cousin, who learned of the death from her family in Washwood Heath Road.
"I used to speak to Balqis every day on the phone but a few months ago she was sent to Pakistan for an arranged marriage.
"She wasn't happy about it and that was the last I heard."
The cousin, who did not want to be named, added: "Balqis was the most bubbly person you could meet - she was going to college and wanted to make something of her life.
"We found out about her death from her family, who said she killed herself on January 8.
"I feel devastated but also furious that the rumour is going around that she committed suicide.
"I just want to set the record straight and let people know what really happened."
It is understood that Balqis's father Irshad Mahmood has now confessed to the shooting.
An article in the Daily Ausaf newspaper revealed that he had sent his daughter to Pakistan because he felt she was being led astray by Western ways.

Slaughtered bride's cousin flees to Pakistan Jan 14 2003

Detectives say the first cousin of a bride who was stabbed to death on her wedding day may have fled the UK.
West Midlands Police are hunting Rafaquat Hussain, from Surrey.
He boarded a flight to Pakistan hours after 21-year-old Sahda Bibi was found with multiple knife wounds at a house in Birmingham.
Officers say Mr Hussain, 37, was unhappy about the marriage and had travelled from his home town of Camberley. He rowed with the bride before she was killed on Saturday afternoon.
Relatives gathered for the traditional Asian wedding ceremony at the house in Wright Road, Saltley, heard screams from an upstairs bedroom.
The 28-year-old groom-to-be, who is from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, was attacked in the garden of the property and suffered cuts to his legs.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the bride, who lived at the address, received 14 stab wounds to her head, neck and shoulders.
A force spokeswoman said today: "From our inquiries it is believed that Rafaquat Hussain left the country from Heathrow for Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday.
"We are liaising with the National Criminal Intelligence Service and with Interpol in relation to extradition proceedings."

If islam is such a great religion like the PBS and CAIR are telling us, then why didn't this tradition stop?
This does not stop because the oppression of woman fits nicely in islam.
To: RonF
These traditions pre-date Islam. When did Islam come to what is now Pakistan? A thousand years ago or so? Doesn't say much for the civilising influence of Islam on barbaric customs.
To: RonF
These traditions pre-date Islam.True. But Christians did some pretty heinous things as well. The difference? We outgrew it, oh, centuries ago.

An article in the Daily Ausaf newspaper revealed that he had sent his daughter to Pakistan because he felt she was being led astray by Western ways. So, the father was more than willing to take advantage of the benefits that "Western ways" provide, while remaining totally clueless about how these benefits came to be.

But confiscating all the guns was supposed to prevent murders! A knife - who would have guessed that?
To: 17th Miss Regt
That's it, enough knifing. Ban knives in the UK, that will stop the killing of people using knives. First sharp, big knives, and if that doesn't show any results, all knives.
To: knighthawk
Yeah, that's the ticket. Confiscate all knives and the murder problem will be solved! Clubs, anyone?

A radical muslim has a bomb strapped to his waist.
A "moderate" muslim has the remote control.

First sharp, big knives, and if that doesn't show any results, all knives. This is actually starting to happen in Australia! Young men are being warned not to carry knives on their person - even pocket knives - because they might get into a fight and use them. If they are caught with a knife it is confiscated.
Two towns down from where I live it is illegal to own a double-edged knife!

Last year, there was a proposal in Parliament to ban kitchen knives. Kitchen knives. Seriously.
