I don't feel like contributing today.
~~~ Wait until you see "Unable to locate server"
I don't have money.
~~~Help with the fundraiser. Bump the threads, ping your FRiends.

There's plenty of time to donate.
~~~Bill collectors don't see it that way.
I don't know where to contribute.
Donate Here By Secure Server
Or mail checks to
FreeRepublic , LLC PO BOX 9771 FRESNO, CA 93794
or you can use
PayPal at Jimrob@psnw.com
I've got too many other things to do first.
~~~Don't we all?

I can't contribute much, what's five dollars?
~~~If everyone contributed one dollar a month, we'd never have a fundraiser again.
The dog ate my credit card.
~~~Shoot the dog.

Just let me finish freeping.
~~~BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Don't wait until it's too late. Do it today. Do it now!
Free Republic is funded solely by us. It's up to us to keep it running.
"...the trends these people were seeing is that there has been an exodus over the last year or so to the following states: TX, CO, and FL."
I just got off the phone with a former associate who was shipped down to Richardson last year. He says things are jumping and going so well, he's almost a little nervous. He's been doing plenty of hiring and training (he's an EE) and told me to come on down, he could set me right up.
I told him according to my map, he looked to be about 6 hours from the beach, count me out!
May I suggest FLORIDA.....No state income tax; good job market; lower cost of living and great weather....especially in the winter!
IT work here in Dallas has totally dried up. Even an MA in CompSci can't find anything in the field.
So now I sell Cheverolet vehicles. But as soon as I can return to my field, I'll be right there.
How about the Knoxville, TN area, it is supposedly growing by leaps and bounds in the tech industry? Tennessee for now has NO INCOME TAX. COL is low.
Hubby is in your situation, his career field is two way radios, he's been a trouble shooter for 3 years and has 29 years in the field repairing them and running/maintaining the transmitter switches. At 55 finding it hard to get a new job in this field especially in Memphis which now only has 2 shops left out of 4 that once were here. We are sending out resumes to TX, NC, VA, GA etc.
I am in IT (UNIX sysadm) I just spent 6 months in NM and the contract ended, so I am back in MO (the job I am looking at is at Ft Dix Gov-contract long term)The KC area for jobs creates a vaccumm (it sucks) you can't even buy a job here.
Then you are wasting your time thinking about coming to NJ. Think about how Lucent (based in NJ), AT&T (NJ), and 15 other NJ based telecomms have crashed, burned, and flooded the market with all their IT people over the last 2-3 years and you'll see that NJ is an IT wasteland.
