OCEANSIDE Actor Richard W. "Dick" Simmons, whose 40-year career in Hollywood included the title role in the 1950s television series "Sergeant Preston of the Yukon," has died. He was 89.

Thanks, AP. You remembered me. Appreciate the heads up. May have missed this. Grew up listening to Sgt Preston on radio, until we finally got a TV. (The younger folks are probably reading this and saying "wasn't there ALWAYS TV????".) lol
And, I'm only 59 years old.
