`Lord' of racism? Critics view trilogy as discriminatory `Two Towers' film reflects tone of book
Happily for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien, director Peter Jackson stayed true to the fantasy author's artistic vision in "Fellowship of the Ring," the first film in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
Unhappily, in "The Two Towers," Jackson may reflect the "Rings'" racial view of the world as well.

thanks
I dismiss the whole argument as an act of "attention getting" by race hustlers on the Left. Their complaints are not worthy of my attention.

Excerpt--
"Can anyone recall one white male author before the present literary era -- other than perhaps the far-seeing Mark Twain in "Huckleberry Finn" -- who, when the two sides came into conflict, depicted men of color sympathetically and Caucasian men as evil?"You see that's what's required, depicting whites as evil and non whites as sympathetic is totally fine, and laudible, BUT the other way around it's racism!

Their complaints are not worthy of my attention. In part I agree. But I like to know what the enemy, liberals, are doing. I also like to ridicule their stupidity. This article is a perfect opportunity to do so.

Where is Jar Jar Jackson on this issue?!?! He'll be there, I promise.

Didn't work for me. May be because someone else was logged in under the same name at the same time?

Crappy website wouldn't let me log in, would let me create a new account.

LOTR is not The Flintstones. LOTR is ethnic folklore adapted from various northern European traditions.
Next: Angry protests that there weren't any black people in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

I'm glad I don't see racism behind every sentence. I've loved these books for 30 years. But it looks like imagined racism ruins the story for a lot of people.

Everything is racism... ...Except hating whitey I saw "Antwone Fisher" yesterday, written by one black man (Antwone Fisher???) and produced and directed by another, Denzel Washington. It is an excellent movie, and one that could provide a desperately needed role model for young black males.
But I am sure it will be dissed as a racist, Uncle Tom movie by the media's pet poverty pimps and racial entrepreneurs.

It works but please note that the password is ALL LOWER CASE.
Someone here was complaining, probably because of typing "Isaliar" instead of "isaliar"

But like the ghostly faces in the Dead Marshes, that irritating issue of race always lingered just beneath the surface.
LOL! What a narrow world these people live in.... Anyways, while he was whining about how some of the villains might be perceived as Asian or African, he overlooked the aspect of the humans, elves, and dwarves coming together in racial harmony to fight facism.

Lets see we have got Dwarves, men, elves, hobbits, ents all fighting against evil that is portrayed by
Orks , Fighting Huruki [mix of a goblin and elf tortured to be made evil] ,Goblins ,gollum ,cave trolls not to mention other races of men who choose the way of suaran the evil one
Hmmmmmm does that mean that fighting against anything evil in their eyes is being racist because evil has the right to be ?....well ....evil!
Truth cannot live on a diet of secrets, withering within entangled lies. Freedom cannot live on a diet of lies, surrendering to the veil of oppression. The human spirit cannot live on a diet of oppression, becoming subservient in the end to the will of evil. God, as truth incarnate, will not long let stand a world devoted to such evil. Therefore, let us have the truth and freedom our spirits require... or let us die seeking these things, for without them, we shall surely and justly perish in an evil world.
