North Korea's promises are the hope of fools!

I hate to say it (but I will); NM deserves Richardson. They call him a "diplomatic troubleshooter"? More like a diplomatic disaster. Or a diplomatic traitor. Sorry, can't stand the guy; does it show?
To: GeneD
Smart, very smart. We will dither with N.Korea by meeting and talking with them until Iraq is done, then we will really start turning the screws on N.Korea. There is no way we can allow them to have nukes or threaten the world in the manner they have.
To: GeneD
Wait a minute! The representatives of a sleazy, lying regime tell the representative of a former sleazy, lying regime a story and we are supposed to believe that they told him the truth and that he, in turn, told us the truth? Not on a bet!! I assume that the Koreans wanted to talk to Bill because the leader of North Korea has a bimbo girl friend that he wants to get rid of and he knows Richardson has experience in this regard.
Maybe that, or Richardson was paid for some errand that he has not yet delivered on.

"The North Koreans told me that they don't plan to build nuclear weapons and I took that as a positive statement," See, all we had to do was sit down with them, peacefully resolve our difference, and realize that, hey, things aren't so bad after all.
It's just amazing what a little heart to heart can get you. Violence is never the answer, especially when every is willing to be reasonable and talk things through.

BWAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!! Good one ! Tell me another one, Bill !!
To: GeneD
Oh, well I guess the crisis is over, then. Thanks Bill!
Boy, that was easy.

U.S. diplomatic trouble-shooter Bill Richardson ended three-days of talks with a senior North Korean official on Saturday with a pledge the reclusive communist state will not develop nuclear weapons. A pledge? OK ,we can now relax. Nothing to see here, move along.

Richardson, a skilled diplomatic trouble-shooter under former President Bill ClintonThis story reeks of WTF is he doing? And just what kind of CYA operation is this?
And anyone who can't figure that out in 10 seconds or less, well, I've got some beautiful ocean front property in Nebraska to sell you.
To: GeneD
Richardson must be the liberals' desginated patsy when Jimmy "Catastrophe" Carter is busy picking up joke prizes in Stockholm.

North Korea's promises are the hope of fools! What do you mean? In spite of all of our bellicose rhetoric, the North Koreans have, out of the goodness of their hearts, made a promise that will promote peace and security.
If only America cared about the future as much as they did, there wouldn't be so much suffering in the world. Think about it. Think of the children.
To: Drango
Why, a modern day Chamberlain is in our midst. I knew we could have peace in our time. Did he get off the plane waving the papers?
To: Kevin Curry
I am positive that this administration knows every word said by Richardson and the Koreans. Every word. And I am positive that he told them, frankly, that any belligerent move they made would be countered by swift massive nuclear reaction.
To: GeneD
No nukes. What a sweeping promise. I sleep better already.
The oral agreement from Kim Jong-il is worth about as much as the paper it is written on. The only reason they are not rushing post haste to construct as many nuclear weapons as their facilities permit, is the sure promise that the US will smite them a mighty blow. Only when that promise is not steadfastly enforced, as it was not back during the regime of the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001", is the Communist kingdom of North Korea emboldened to do vain and foolish things, depending entirely on their nuisance value and the guilt trip-wires that are part of the psyche of the "liberal"-leftist surrender monkeys.
The North Korean problem was well on the way to being solved, when Truman, in his wisdom, chose to call back MacArthur. And for half a century, the damage has festered.
To: GeneD
This is just one more area the Bush administration must shut down the Clinton admin's dealings. North Korea's talks with Richardson appears to be a comment of Bush's presidency being illegitimate.
No avenue the Clinton's can manipulate should be allowed to stay open.

And anyone who can't figure that out in 10 seconds or less, well, I've got some beautiful ocean front property in Nebraska to sell you. I don't see why you are all so cynical? Clinton had a great plan to help the 'Hermit Kingdom' come out of its shell, by helping their economy and really trying to bridge our differences. You can't build rapport and friendship without talking to people and sharing your wealth with them if they are poor and needy.
Dialogue and compromise never hurt anyone, why shouldn't we just give peace a chance?
To: Kevin Curry
Furthermore, I'm positive this wasn't Richardson's idea. I think he is walking on very thin ice here, and is justly terrified of doing anything to annoy President Bush on this Korea issue. I believe that Cheney and Rumsfeld told him exactly what to say and do, and I believe he did it.
To: N. Theknow
Yeah, Richardson was a real bright star when the Chinese were pilfering our nuclear weapons laboratories.
And now the corrupt moron talks to the North Koreans about nukes and we're supposed to bend over having been provided with another worthless "assurance" concerning the development of nuclear weapons.
How touching. The liberal pigs are simply amazing.
