A girl being hunted by police in Uganda for wearing no knickers at a party has been arrested and freed without charge.
The girl, believed to be 17, faced a jail term of up to seven years for indecent assault.
She was apparently pictured wearing a miniskirt with no pants.
The teenager was photographed in Ugandan newspapers dancing on a stage at a New Year's street party in Kampala.
The police insisted she had no knickers, but the girl claimed she had been wearing a G-string, reports Enter Uganda.
Police seemed divided after finally arresting the girl, known as Jamel, with one officer saying she was over 18 and would be charged.
But Kampala regional CID chief Moses Sakira took a different view, saying: "The girl was a minor at the time she committed the offence.
"The Police have opted to have her counseled instead of prosecuted."

Corruption may be endemic in Africa, but at least they take a strong view on dress codes. ;)

faced a jail term of up to seven years for indecent assault. And some people think that what someone wears (or doesn't wear) underneath pants or dresses is a victimless crime!
(Tinfoil time - was this law supported by the eeeeevil knicker manufacturing lobby?)

We won't get into that being just forgetfulness or a fashion statement, Darling.

Corruption may be endemic in Africa, but at least they take a strong view on dress codes. ;) Well what could be more important for the police to spend their time on?
If they weren't busy checking on the type of underwear that girls were wearing, they might have to investigate what the politicians were stealing. This is similar to American police spending all that time looking for harmless people who smoke Marujuana, when there are much bigger fish to fry.

'All fur coat, and no knickers'! In this case delete the word "coat."

Tell us honestly: would you feel the same way if Hillary Klinton introduced this fashion fad to the Senate?

Ivan, you've just given ideas to the Louisiana State Legislature for new laws.
BTW: You have FReepmail.

In light of recent news and just for clarification...is Uganda a cannibal country, a vampire-fearing country, a starving country that refuses GMO grain, a murderously rioting country, a country that is killing its technicians and destroying infrastructure or is it just a regular country that still practices slavery?
