How do you know it's torture for the chicken?

Does the chicken show evidence of pain?

What makes you think the chicken's are content?

Are you a chicken psychiatrist?

I know nothing about the conditions, only how long it takes. I'll have to take your word - and PETA's - on that.

...what should we do with her (Picture of Hillary Chicken)

Grilled Chicken comes to mind. So does Smothered Chicken, Creamed Chicken, Barbequed Chicken, Jerk Chicken.

But when it comes down to it, there's not much you can do with a spoiled chicken except trash it.

Have you ever been to where they raise animals? I have. Have you ever been to a slaughterhouse? I certainly have. Several, over many years.

If you haven't, and don't know what you are talking about, then why are you repsonding at all? Other than liking to hear yourself type and talk, do you have anything of substence to add to the discussion?

Or Gee.. hmmm.. maybe you could go look for yourself.

No... better to stay in denial and keep causing it to happen. The American Way.

"...in a cage so samll that he can't turn around or lay full out..."

Actually I don't know the conditions in which they are raised. And agree with you that it's probably not only cruel to the chicken, but potentially unsanitary and therefore bad for the business if the practices are as you say.

But when PETA freaks out because we eat chickens which were put here by the Creator for our dining pleasure among other reasons, then my first response is ridicule instead of listening to anything you might have to say that is valid.

Hello... I said I had gone to the farms, and you obviously have not, but still want to call me a liar.

Thank God you God does't still want you to kill children, you'd probably do that too.

OH and your argument is invalid. No where did they say to not eat chickens, which I personally believe would be the best choice. I seriously doubt God put animals here for us to eat, but they never said that in the article. They said treat them humanely.

Did you even read the article, or are you just pleased to have a bully pulpit to sound biased from?

"Thank God you God does't still want you to kill children, you'd probably do that too.?

That's hardly a fair comment.

There are only three times in scripture that you could possibly get that impression and what's more you see God denounce other religions for sacrificing children.

The first is when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac in a test of Abraham's faith. Abraham expected that God would not have him follow through, notice he told Isaac that God would provide the sacrifice before they ever got to the mountain. Abraham also recognized that God was powerful enough to bring Isaac back from the dead, in the event that God did not stop the sacrifice.

Abraham was right on both accounts. God did send an angel to stop the sacrifice and provided a substitute lamb in an act that foreshadowed God's own substitutionary sacrifice on our behalf. And God could have raised him from the dead, had Abraham gone through with it. As you will find out when he raises you from the dead for judgement.

The second is that parents were made responsible for their children. And if the children were out of control and would not obey their parents, then the parents were to bring the children before the whole community and the whole community was to execute the child. Scripture never records that anyone actually did that. Probably because the parents recognized their responsiblity both to society and to the child and cared enough to discipline their children unlike today where the parents wash their hands of the child and after the child commits a crime spree the community locks the child up.

The third time is when a King of Israel who dabbled in false religions sacrificed his own daughter to God. However God found the act abhorrent, said the King had committed much evil in His sight and cut the King's days short.

So before you slander God again, I suggest you get your facts straight.

"I said I had gone to the farms, and you obviously have not, but still want to call me a liar." I did not call you a liar. I said "if things are as you say". That allows for any number of possibilities including: other people seeing the same conditions you saw might not describe them the way you did or think they were as bad, and the farms you have seen may not be representitive of the whole industry. I seriously doubt that all farms use the same cage or clip the ears. It simply an acknowledgement that there is room for error and I'm not willing to condemn the entire industry on one person's opinion. The article did refer to PETA members not believing in eating animals and you said "Eat them if you must...". For a chicken psychiatrist you sure are touchy.

I don't believe in the bible.. I need to get no facts straight. I said thank God that you God DID NOT TELL YOU TO SACRAFICE CHILDREN, not that your God DID tell you to. Your God may tell you that chickens were put here for you to eat, my God tells me that all life is sacred and not to be abused.

You need to not be so touchy about things.

Pst 36 "I said thank God that you God DID NOT TELL YOU TO SACRAFICE CHILDREN, not that your God DID tell you to"

Pst 33 "Thank God you God does't still want you to kill children, you'd probably do that too."

It seems you need to check your facts about what said. You used the word "still" implying that God had once wanted us to kill children.

So, I can't believe your comments about what you said 20 minutes ago. You ignore the vast amount of evidence in favor of the Creator and the Bible. And you want me to trust your judgement about something as trivial as chicken coups?

I don't think so, even if you are a chicken psychiatrist. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I don't believe in the bible...my God tells me that all life is sacred"

Just curious... what god is that?

Oh, and sorry about the pschiatrist jokes.... the God of the bible loves you even if you are hung up on chickens.

Does that include plants? They're living, after all. If so, heck of a diet plan you got there!

Oh don't worry... your badgering, name calling and trying to belittle me is common behaviour from Christians. I have very thick skin and it doesn't bother me.

does it bother you on sunday though, to look back at how you treat people?

What would Jesus do?
