"Thank God you God does't still want you to kill children, you'd probably do that too.?

That's hardly a fair comment.

There are only three times in scripture that you could possibly get that impression and what's more you see God denounce other religions for sacrificing children.

The first is when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac in a test of Abraham's faith. Abraham expected that God would not have him follow through, notice he told Isaac that God would provide the sacrifice before they ever got to the mountain. Abraham also recognized that God was powerful enough to bring Isaac back from the dead, in the event that God did not stop the sacrifice.

Abraham was right on both accounts. God did send an angel to stop the sacrifice and provided a substitute lamb in an act that foreshadowed God's own substitutionary sacrifice on our behalf. And God could have raised him from the dead, had Abraham gone through with it. As you will find out when he raises you from the dead for judgement.

The second is that parents were made responsible for their children. And if the children were out of control and would not obey their parents, then the parents were to bring the children before the whole community and the whole community was to execute the child. Scripture never records that anyone actually did that. Probably because the parents recognized their responsiblity both to society and to the child and cared enough to discipline their children unlike today where the parents wash their hands of the child and after the child commits a crime spree the community locks the child up.

The third time is when a King of Israel who dabbled in false religions sacrificed his own daughter to God. However God found the act abhorrent, said the King had committed much evil in His sight and cut the King's days short.

So before you slander God again, I suggest you get your facts straight.

I don't believe in the bible.. I need to get no facts straight. I said thank God that you God DID NOT TELL YOU TO SACRAFICE CHILDREN, not that your God DID tell you to. Your God may tell you that chickens were put here for you to eat, my God tells me that all life is sacred and not to be abused.

You need to not be so touchy about things.
