Once you get some money, you'll get the women.Though this always was, it is now becoming general knowledge.

Actually, snowstorm's sentence was correct. It is "like me". Nobody says "like I"; that's incorrect, unless they say "like I do."

Then why isn't this true? Thanks to current custody laws, it makes little sense for a single man to have sex.I know you that you asked a rhetorical question, but I must point out intellectual dishonesty wherever it exists. You are attempting to equate marriage with sex. There is no similarity. You should know this.
In the case of marriage, the guy actually cares for the woman, and, for the moment, does she for him..
In the case of sex, neither cares for the other, only for their self-gratification, thence the disregard for the consequences of their action.

Some of us aren't interested in the money, Mulder. Some of us make enough on our own. ;-)Even if you're independently wealthy, none of you can resist having more.

I know you have tried adult education, but try it again with classes like medical terminology or anatomy and physiology. These are loaded with nursing types. That's an intriguing idea. Do you have any tips for what I should tell them if they ask me why I chose that class? I've generally gone on the theory that I shouldn't sign up for a class unless I could explain why I was taking it without saying that I was just there to meet women.

Actually, the sentence means "like I do", the "do" being understood. That being said, "like I" sounds awkward, so "like me" would be better.
That being said, snowstorm's use of popular culture celebrities as examples of positive role models for women, combined with her promotion of liberal men as quality spousal fodder, indicates a complete lack of understanding of the nature of love and marriage, and indeed, life itself.
Personally, I believe she is a disrupter, pulling her ideas directly from her nether regions, in which case I can't help but admire her sense of humor.

If snowstorm is indeed a "she"? Anybody can present himself as anyone on internet forums.

I found my wife in Church. It was easy. Most of the eligible females and males were there and many families were started from such happy encounters. I admit, I'm speaking about the fabulous 50's, not now. The churches are still open. The young eliginles are not often there. Too sad!

Of course I put by foot in my mouth. It was late at night and I would have been better off not posting. I certainly mean SOME of my contemporaries. As of 32 years old I was unmarried and I felt quite as you do. I had great role models who were either not married and/or never had children or widowed- old ladies now- who seemed to miss nothing in life.
I could have said SOME women and expanded on that.

You ARE a wimpy cat!
To: Jeff Chandler
Actually, no. I'm a smart cat, because this is a pointless argument. Pointless, because the argument has lasted just about as long as there have been men and women. We'll never get to the bottom of it.

For all this talk of who is more mentally disturbed: singles intheir 40's or adorable married people..understand this.....our foreign policy is largely run by a SINGLE woman in her 40's...the great Condi Rice ....YIPPEE!!!!!!....but dont worry...your married people got madeleine albright to represent you...HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!!!!
To: PistolPaknMama
You'd rather buy one from Russia? I know an ex-jarhead Texan who spent some years in Russia and Ukraine. He said the women there are like American women of the 1950's... they want to find the right man, marry him, cook for him, and have his babies. They don't have the whole relationship-power-struggle thing going on, and to boot some of them look really really good.
He wound up marrying one and bringing her home with him.

I have a feeling all this insisting is a big part of the problem. Yes. Good or bad, most men can find a woman willing to put up with them. It's no wonder the insistent women find themselves without a seat when the music stops.

Obviously you don't talk to people who speak proper English. Frankly, I don't care what you think " sounds " correct or not . The simple fact is, what I said IS correct; not what you or snow imagine is correct.
To: HIDEK6
One of my many typos, which usually, unfortunately, go uncorrected. Yes, that IS exactly the word ( misspelled typo though it was ) and meaning I was using.:-)
To: Jeff Chandler
God , alone, knows IF snowy is a male or a female ; however, her posts are laughable, childish, and look like those of a disruptor.
To: Marie
"Congrats! Mine are only 9 and 11 and I'm already wringing my hands, wondering what I'm going to do without them! LOL"
You raise them, love them, love their spouses, and then they bring grandbabies for you to cuddle and love. Take care and God bless!
