Have you two been introduced? Both have a fine knowledge about sturgeon fishing in the area.

I am posting this for the second time as you may not have read this.
According to criminologist Jack Levin, Scott and Laci were having guests over for a Christmas Day Brunch. She most likely had preparations to do and, IMHO, Scott would probably have been in the way. Women understand this need to get the man out of the house before such entertaining extravaganzas. Men just don't get it.
Perhaps Scott went fishing because he was crazy about fishing, had a new boat, the Marina at Berkeley would not be as crowded on Christmas Eve Day as at other times and Laci wanted him gone for several hours.
Detective Ridenour of the Modesto Police Dept., has said they are keeping an eye on other suspects at this time.

The local news this evening had an interview with the Modesto Police Chief. He said "If you knew what we knew you would understand why we are searching the Marina."

Agreed. Perhaps an Anne Rule novel first (although she is getting up there in age). Nothing is sacred. Guilty as charged for following and posting on threads in free republic!

What if...(I want to say this before they drag up the
object)
They examine the object, which turns out to be a body, and they discover that it is Laci, BUT the body has only been there 3-4 days. This could be one way to frame a person. With all the news and announcements from Scott about where he was fishing ANYONE could dump a/the body.
Still hoping the hubby is innocent.

Okay, it's 7:20 out there now, on the day they said they'd pull the "object" up.
What's TAKING them so long???

I don't think the husband had anything to do with it. That is just my gut feeling and has been all along.

(Whatever happened to "innocent till proven guilty?")

Earlier, we heard a false report that the husband had been arrested. This was not the fault of those who posted it here, it was apparently the result of miscommunication among either the police, reporters, or police and reporters.
Now I read (today's ModBee) that the report of another person's body (unrelated to Laci) being found, was also a mistake. The paper says there was not any body found after all, and that that, too, was a mistake.
It begins to sound as though someone is occasionally putting out misinformation. I halfway expect the police to now tell us that they were NOT planning to go back underwater today, to check out this "object." I am starting to think that misinformation is being put out at times, perhaps to play head games with someone the police are watching.

It's been determined to not be a body........according to the FNC, it's an anchor.......

Well, they have definitely succeeded!
An anchor. Thanks a lot, guys!

I don't know what kind of a husband you have, but I would have a fit if my husband took off the day before we were entertaining, especially if I was 8 months pregnant.

When my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer she encouraged my father to get out of the house and stop bothering her.
She ORDERED him to go elk hunting!

I wonder...if they knew all along it was an anchor!
If you knew what we knew...is kind of like saying "aloha" and "meow". It could mean anything.
To: goody2shooz
That's a whole lot different than preparing to entertain. I would probably send my husband away for a few days under those circumstances also, but we have had some huge arguments about him disappearing while I am busy getting ready to entertain and he knows better now. It is just plain inconsiderate.
