Get a load of this propaganda... (Yes boys and girls, it's happening right here in this country)

"Idaho does not require child-safety trigger locks to be sold with guns, does not hold adults responsible for leaving loaded firearms around children, and does not have any safety standards for handguns, the group said Wednesday."

That's because the good folks in Idaho still rely on that antiquated system called Parenting something those emasculated, PC weenies forgot about. Idahoanians aren't interested in Nanny State BS, predatory litigation and blaming victims and all the other insanities that are becoming routine everywhere else. I'll take Idaho over Maryland anyday.

Good try, though!!

“Furthermore, Idaho forces police to let people carry hidden handguns in public...

Forces? This, I think, illustrates the way these people think, i.e. it's just terrible that agents of the state govt are "forced" to obey the Constitution. What's the world coming to?

Exactly - you nailed it. God forbid that anyone would "force" the police to allow law abiding citizens to have the most basic of human rights - the means for personal and familial protection i.e. self-defense.

The individual (I hesitate to use the word citizen) that constructed that sentence has borderline brain-damage, truth be told. This is what steams me about so-called "liberals"; they absolutely destroy any vestige of constitutional government once they reach a critical mass, and then label me a "reactionary" for complaining or pointing out the obvious - they want to deny us firearms to protect ourselves from the mess they created. That's some real sick SOB's there, folks.

Where would you feel safest....in Idaho with an F grade, or in Maryland with an A??

To answer a question with a question: Where did "the Sniper" choose for most of their crimes...it sure wasn't Idaho! They did make a couple of forays into Virginia, but still well within the DC suburban area. (I'm sure DC, if it had been rated, would have gotten an A or even an A+)

When I was around 10, I asked my folks for a BB gun.

For me it was about 8 and I got it for my 9th birthday (I think, 3rd grade anyway). It was the base model, below even the Red Ryder. Daisy still makes a version of each, you can buy them at WallyWorld, at least in Oklahoma and Texas you can. :)

I'm not sure how long it was before I was allowed to take it out by myself, not long I think, although it probably seemed so at the time. My cousin, who had the more powerful slide action (Which you can also still get) and I used to shoot through soda and beer cans (steel, not the thin aluminum used now.) His would reliably go through both sides, mine usually only one side. No one's eye got put out. Although a ricochet off a tree trunk did get lodged in another, older, cousin's temple, without drawing any blood. He figured no harm, no foul and AFAIK, the adults never knew about that.

That brought back very similar memories...even the ricochet part...at least that's what I told Dad when my brother snitched. The BB gun was then lawfully confiscated for a period of time and my brother and I learned a lesson.

After looking at the chart again...the population is incorrect. Idaho has slightly over 1 million...I think?

does that tell you about what they are really about? How about "More Guns - Less Crime."

It tells you they are about "Less Guns - More Crime", or at least less guns, preferably none. They really don't care about crime or child safety, only "No Guns".

"Vermont is unique in the United State. We have no laws in this state prohibiting a person from carrying a loaded weapon.

This, so called "Vermont Carry" should be the goal in every state. In fact it is really nothing less than what the Constitution mandates. The federal Constitution, and those state constitutions having similar, or stronger, RKBA provisions.

The number given is probably just the part of the population aged 0-14, not the whole population.

These gun control fanatics are getting completely out of hand. When I was I middle school (75-76), I attended an in school Hunter Safety Class and we practiced shooting just outside the back door of the school by the running track. The shooting was done with a .22 long rifle, today if they had the course I am sure they would use a safe video gun. In high school, as long as we had passed the Hunter Safety Course, we were allowed to bring out rifles to school. They did not like it if we kept the guns in our guns racks in our trucks, so we were allowed to keep them in out lockers, with a lock and the bolt in the office. No one ever had a problem with gun violence and I would bet that if that policy was still in place, most would feel safer in school today.

At that time myself and four of my best friends could place 9 out of 10 shots within a 3 in circle at 100 yards with out .22s. To improve out accuracy we use to hunt doves with out .22s, you got real good at shooting and none of use used a scope. Today people our age at the time (16-18) would be lucky to hit a target at 25 feet let alone 300.

I am still a firm believer in the education of people, especially young people, in the proper use and respect of a firearm, not the fear these gun control idiots and most of the media are preaching. I just pray that the USA does not go the way of the UK.
