“At the other end of the spectrum, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Kentucky, many of those with an ´F´ or ´D,´ are among the lowest in gun-death rates,” he said. “You´ve got to question Brady´s methodology.”

So what is the actual gun accident rate for children ages 0-14 in Idaho?

The lower the "F" the safer the people. It's typical of the commies that "F" in gun control is bad and must be remedied, whereas an "F" in Math or Reading can be easily remedied by telling the student that he/she is "doing great".

awarded Idaho an “F-plus”

When I move, I will move to an “F-plus” state.

That I don't know...but having lived in rural Idaho for 13-years, I would expect it to be lower than the national average. Curiously, where I lived, in the 13-years there were several handgun-related suicides in the 17 to 20 age group.

Yet I feel safer in Idaho than Washington DC. Go figure.

"gun safety rating" = "freedom loss rating"

When dealing with big government control-freaks like the Brady Campaign, remember -- less is more.

It would be interesting to see a comparison to the San Fernando Valley, which has a population roughly the same size as the State of Idaho. I suspect that the SF Valley, which as part of the City of L.A. would earn an A from Sarah's minions, is a considerable more dangerous place for children.

I think we'll get it. Just read the other day that they're lowering the minimum age for hunters from 12 to 10 years old to encourage more kids to get into hunting.

One of Brady´s highest grades, an 'A,' went to Maryland, which has the highest robbery rate in the country and the fifth-highest rate of homicides...

Would the phrase 'tyranny mongers' best describe these fools?

“Furthermore, Idaho forces police to let people carry hidden handguns in public

Forces? This, I think, illustrates the way these people think, i.e. it's just terrible that agents of the state govt are "forced" to obey the Constitution. What's the world coming to?

Thousand Oaks, which is about 20 miles west of the San Fernando Vally, has the lowest overall crime rate of any city (of over 100,000 people) in the nation. Westlake Village, right on the edge of the valley, also has very little crime. But you're right, most of the valley is a crime-ridden pit.

My thought exactly. Funny how the one factor not included in the "grade" is the actual number of firearm accidents.
