Ya know, if a total ban across Canada turns out to hurt Canada business and tax revenues, couldn't the government just pass a law to ban tobacco everywhere in the world?

I for one am sick to death of listening to the endless pitiful blather about "smokers' rights." It is not about the right of the smokers, it is about the right of a business owner to make decisions which affect his/her livelihood without interference from an oppressive government.
As long as the liberals control the government they will seek to destroy real diversity in the market. Liberals want to be kings and rule what all others do because they believe people are too stupid to make intelligent decisions.
Liberals, are of course, idiots. Too bad more don't come on here to be debated, but I think they like their safe havens elsewhere where they can feel free to be deluded amongst like 'minds'.
Good article, thanks for the post!

If you can't go to Canada to buy Cuban cigars, then why go to Canada?

BUMP for freedom, to smoke or not, because it is not that you can do without it, but that you can take it of leave it.

(Laurie) Mustard should be banned.

I just don't get it. Tobacco is a legal substance, but it's illegal to smoke. The government makes lots of moola on the sale of cigarettes. I think a few government agencies must have their wires crossed. The revenue-takers must not know what the revenue-spenders are trying to do.

I have a dream, friends -- to some day eat my cheese omelette at Nick's Restaurant in Headingley, in a SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT! Hey liberal, care to ask Nick about that? I have a dream that some day you will not be allowed to eat a cheese omelette ANYWHERE, due to high calories, whatever else is injected into that evil product protected by the "cheese omelette" lawyers in your country.

Ya know, if a total ban across Canada turns out to hurt Canada business and tax revenues, couldn't the government just pass a law to ban tobacco everywhere in the world? Fortunately, Canada Ministers don't run the world. But I say, If tobacco is such a killer after hundreds of years, they should just ban it. Pull it off the markets and save us all this grief! But guess what? That would shut down the honey pots the anti's are feeding off of. They haven't gotten their total bans passed everywhere yet. So, their work is not finished. They still see billions to be made from smoking, and so they march on, in their brown shirts and jack boots.
But I see more walls being put up daily against the anti's.

And, I, for one, am sick to death of the anti's controlling, banning and restricting us at every turn.
And what sane, non-abusing adult is EVER going to blow smoke in a kid or baby's face?! This is asinine. More spin.

Do any of these non-smoking employees' personal habits in the workplace endanger their fellow workers' health and safety? Garlic breath maybe? Yes! How about working with an obese person who cannot hold their own weight? And no one else can either! Talk about a waste of money for a pay check!

You smokers may not be there to enjoy that fresh air with me, but that's your problem. Time for the BIG BAN, man. Banning the mouth of Laurie would be the lesser of two evils. And she IS evil. Her rights? Don't trample on them. Our rights? Be damned!
