When will the "caring" activists of the left ever learn? Never have so few individuals with so many good intentions created so much misery for so many people whom they wanted to help. As the social-engineering debacles of the last half century in the United States have demonstrated, carelessness in "caring" for the disadvantaged in our society only leads to a glaringly uncaring result.......

It is virtually an axiom of the left. They don't care how much they hurt you, as long as they "feel" better about themselves. They have a peculiar immuninty to reality, in that they actively seek ignorance of facts that might disillusiion them.
It is a strange form of sadism, or in some, sadomasochism.

BTTT. As they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Confronted with the evidence that the medicine they prescribe for social ills only poisons the patients and does nothing to cure the disease they seek to increase the dosage.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions? That may be true, but there's a difference between "good intentions" and "claims of good intentions." As an example, the so-called environmentalists couldn't care less about the environment, despite their claims. All they want is the power that comes from controlling the environment. If they really cared about the environment, they would speak up about over-population and its cause, immigration.

So their 'good intentions' are really the self-deluded good feelings they derive from "doing something, anything."

I work in the 'Helping Professions". It is a horrible mess and I agree more and more with John Taylor Gatto...Inside American Education....We make our needy to have someone to need us.

There are two guys on Third Watch who are constantly getting themselves in a big mess because of good intentions and trying to make themselves feel better. I see this sometimes with AA or newborn Christians, who try to make up for all their past wrongs personally. Temperance is required.

Good article (maybe comment later). However, followed link to original Iconoclast web site and found the following:

Thought it might be OK for a chuckle or two...
