I don't know how much is true, but to flat-out disregard them is silly. Their record is mixed in terms of their speculative capabilities, but they have provided some insight on occasion, particularly in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, that I find worthwhile. Please forgive me.

There are definitely some aspects of our pop culture I'd rather not export, and our addiction to porn is one of them. I always said that the Taliban played it all wrong - all they needed to do, instead of issue a bunch of poorly written diatribes and fatwas, is just hold up a picture of Michael Jackson, and ask "Is this what you guys want to do to us?" The whole West would have to hang its collective head and say, "Ya know, maybe they got a point."

No, they had to kill three thousand innocent people instead. Morons.

Rather than provoke the West to confront some its more embarrasing realities, it only galvanized us. The irony here is that the Hollywood types are so ungrateful - after all it is our military that is protecting their right to unfettered hedonism and unlimited wealth. And what do they do? Visit Baghdad and vote for Democrats.

You're remark about how they immediately rendered themselves un-credible by referring to "thousands" of US troops implied that you knew, as a matter of fact, such a statement is patently false. Either you know with a certainty that this is not true, or you are just speculating. I don't know what the answer is. But you have not persuaded me that your critique on that basis is with any merit.
