Excerpt from the NY Observer "....Mrs. Clinton began with an anecdote about a meeting earlier that evening with her longtime nemesis, Rush Limbaugh, according to people in attendance. Mrs. Clinton recounted that she had been at a wedding in Brooklyn, where she was introduced to Mr. Limbaugh by the bride’s father, Jewish activist Malcolm Hoenlein. Mr. Limbaugh informed her that he owed her an apology. Where, she wondered, would he begin?

A laugh arose from the audience, which included media executive John Sykes, political power couple Sarah and Victor Kovner, fund-raiser Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel, and long-time friend-of-the-Clintons Susan Thomases. Mr. Limbaugh’s apology, it turned out, was for talking about Mrs. Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, on his show. She accepted.

I am convinced either Drudge, Newmax or some other publication also said he thanked her for her service to our country. Still hunting for it.

Whew, after awhile I began to think I was imagining what I thought I read, but here is the headline as it appeared on the DrudgeReport on 12/17/02:

RUSH LIMBAUGH COMES FACE TO FACE WITH HILLARY CLINTON; SHOWDOWN IN BROOKLYN AT WEDDING; CONGRATULATES SENATOR ON HER 'DEDICATION TO PUBLIC SERVICE'; BOTH POSE FOR A PICTURE TOGETHER: HILLARY TELLS PALS, 'HE SAID HE REGRETS THINGS HE'S SAID ABOUT [DAUGHTER] CHELSEA'... DEVELOPING...

Both the article in NY Observer and this headline on Drudge should have been more than enough for Rush to contradict or admit on his radio show. Curious whether he ever did.
