" I understand the point you were making. I was fretting about Bush's aides talking as though a tax cut that doesn't include a cut of the top rate would be nothing to criticize."

I appreciate your frustration.Rush's mistake was treating a Reuter's story as if it were gospel. The media likes to tweek conservatives by writing stories in a way that will cause conservative blood pressures to rise.Rush took the bait and caused unnecesssary agitation on the right. Reports today indicate that no one will be excluded, which I hope is true.We won't know for sure, until Tuesday and I felt Rush was jumping the gun in his criticism. We'll see on Tuesday, hopefully we'll all be cheering and not jeering. Tax cutting regards.

I'm not so sure it's a mistake on Rush's part. When the RATS try and float a particular compromise the Bush Administration is allegedly prepared to make, El Rushbo pounces on it and rails against the GOP for considering such a compromise and it serves to warn the weak-kneed RINOs the sorta hell they'll catch if they don't fight for the full package. He even went on to say he hopes this story isn't true, which in turn decreases the chances that it will become true.

That's Limbaugh flexing his EIB muscles more than his falling fer the Left's wishful thinking, IMHO...MUD
