As a matter of fact, I'm convinced Rush had a great deal to do with the Republicans winning heavily on Nov. 5, 2002. I agree with you 100%!
Personally, I believe that Rush has done more to advance the conservative cause in America than anyone else.
I still giggle when I think of how demoralized Tim Russert was at the end of his annual Thanksgiving weekend interview with Rush.
Rush is a phenomenon!

Didn't like the Education bill myself and I didn't hesitate to say I didn't like it and I still don't!
Don't believe that being part of the "me too" crowd is a help to the President or Republicans. He doesn't expect "yes people" around him so why should we all be "yes people."
My biggest objection comes when people question his integrity or can never find anything right with what he does. Funniest though is when they quote the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN or like organizations as the truth about what is going on in this Administration. You have to be able to get through the spin from the liberal media.

Sure was great to hear his words of wisdom again. I especially liked the part about what Sen. Edwards would have done if he had stopped at the traffic accident that Frist happened upon.

p.s. On the one hand I really like Walter Williams as a fill-in host but on the other hand it's good to have Rush back. I was afraid he wouldn't be back until Monday.

"He doesn't expect "yes people" around him" I'd go so far as to say "He doesn't RESPECT "yes people" around him"...MUD

"I especially liked the part about what Sen. Edwards would have done..." Yep...and don't any Lib'rals try to tell me God ain't a conservative when that wreck happens right in front of Dr. Frist the same day the DemonRATS commenced their slander campaign against Majority Leader Frist!!

"I believe that Rush has done more to advance the conservative cause in America than anyone else." I think even El Rushbo would readily admit that he comes in a close second to Dutch Reagan on that score...but then again, Rush is still barely over 50, so that may change over the next 30-40 years!!

I missed the week when he might have given an explanation as to his meeting with Hillary and poof he went on vacation. Did he ever offer his version and did he indeed thank her for her service to our Country?

"I actually liked Alan Price when he talked national politics..."Well, I will miss Alan Price and yer calls into his show, Mud. But Michael Graham is moving to Richmond to take his 3 PM slot and I bet he will welcome yer opinions. BTW, Savage won't come on till 10 PM on a tape delay basis.

"Now, if 910 would stop preempting Sean Hannity w/UVA football nonsense, I would be really happy."LOL!! Believe it or not, there are actually some UVA fans amongst us! (But I agree; would prefer Hannity if I had the choice.)

He is expected to propose acceleration of the 2001 tax cuts for middle and upper income earners, but might not include cuts in connection with the top rate, which is 38.6 percent for income over $ 311,950, they said. But to fail to cut the top rate is to pass a "tax cut" that will do nothing to promote economic growth. Such a failure not only cedes to the Dems the argument that tax cuts are a sop to the rich, it also guarantees that the economy won't grow. And a couple years later, we'll be sitting around wondering why the economy is so sluggish. A tax cut that doesn't include a reduction in top marginal rates is designed to fail and to discredit tax cuts as public policy. Why is this so hard for so many allegedly bright people to understand?
The president and the nation would be better off with no tax cut at all than with one that fails to reduce top marginal rates.
