It wouldn't surprise me if the cartel guys have already been co-opted into assisting. After all, their only motivation is $$$, and Osama's boys have plenty.

That's possible, but getting a 100# cargo into the USA is such a triviality that I could think of 100 ways to do it in an hour.

Relying purely on hope that Saddam has not positioned 100# (or 1,000#) of anthrax in the USA in cached crates of glass jars is worse than the Ango French armies relying purely on hope that the Nazis could not attack through the Ardennes.
